Yes fridge freezer not working properly can be dangerous if food isn’t chilled properly. A good investment as the newer ones are more efficient too.January spends - £587.580

Happy New Year SA, even though I haven't been writing much I have been following your journey, which I might say is never boring. Glad you enjoyed new year even though you slept through it, don't know many people who where out last night. We just stayed in had a chippy tea and then waited for midnight(so we could then go to bed, who else does this). Back to work tomorrow morning at 5 o'clock in the morning (roll on the lighter mornings) and the next couple of days the decorations will be down. The Mens Shed would be fab for Mr SA.
Sure that someone mentioned it before.
Our local one is fab.

Afternoon SA,
Cant believe you fell asleep at 11.55 :rotfl:
Booooo to the fridge and freezer, you might be able to get a good deal with it being just after Christmas though? Fingers crossed its not too expensive to replace xxMummytogirls x0 -
That's the first day back at work done
. Hardly anyone there, it was so quiet.
Washer is fixed
New fridge freezer coming on Friday. Ordered one direct from manufacturers via a website where you can get discounts if you're a civil servant. There was an extra 17% off code plus free delivery/take away old appliance. They're also installing it for £8.40. Going to see if I can work at home Friday so I can leave the stuff in the freezer until the last minute.
The charger for Mr SA's scooter has been playing up, he rang them and they've brought him a new one.

Thanks Beanie - I did a quick check online and it was a lot more expensive elsewhere. Couldn't leave it any longer, the fridge is completely dead. If I can't work it in with the budget I'll use my emergency fund, that's what it's for.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Glad you got the washer sorted and a new fridge freezer. Definitely something that is needed.

Glad you've got a new f/f on the way. Just a tiny warning though, my friend had a new one delivered just before Christmas and I was going to house-sit whilst it was delivered. She rang in a flat panic at 10pm the day before saying she'd had a phone call to check that the fridge/freezer would be fully defrosted and emptied, water chiller, ice trays etc. otherwise they would not take it away.
Might just be worth checking that your delivery/removal company don't insist on the same. I spent two hours at hers til midnight emptying and defrosting it before going back at 6am to continue it. It was just about ok when they came at midday to take it thankfully.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300
