My best idea is buy him a small treat from Amazon that will be delivered on the day BUT also tell him the truth - you need a little break and the pressie is to cheer him up as you know he doesn't like being left. If his arguing stops you leaving, do the leave early thing and explain on phone or in a note. I do think you need to start insisting but why not soften the blow a bit if you can.

I can’t tell him where I’m going beforehand he’ll only come looking for me on his scooter if the parcel arrives early enough. I will bring him a couple of new T-shirts for the holiday back though which should placate him.

Day off work today. Trying to get the cleaning done before it gets too hot.

Mr SA has already caused havoc by dropping an open carton of milk on the kitchen floor, it went everywhere! So mopping the kitchen floor was my first task of the day.

I’ve had to send photos of the broken chair to the seller, hopefully I’ll get a refund. It was from an eBay shop. This is why I prefer buying from Amazon as there’s never any quibble about refunds.

Hope you get the refund ok. Hope the milk Mr SA dropped doesn’t go smelly……I remember one of the children smashing a bottle and even though I’d cleaned it we couldn’t get rid of the smell. We ended up having to pull the washing machine etc out to clean behind them.

Managed another NSD number 3 of August. Not been anywhere except for the park with the dog this morning. Got quite a bit of cleaning done then relaxed in my chair in the lovely hot sunshine ☀️

Still managed to do 15k steps which included a FitSteps class this afternoon.

Tonight’s dinner is a veggie sausage and butter bean casserole type thing, made two portions so will take one to work for my lunch tomorrow.

The cats have been hiding under bushes in the garden all day, they haven’t eaten as much as they usually do.

Hope the refund is easy to sort, hate having to do that sort of thing and end up feeling defensive when most sellers are actually quite reasonable.

    Morning happy Thursday 😎

In the office today. I’m staying until lunchtime then will finish the day at home.

Mr SA rang me at 7am “to see if everything was alright”. I was still walking in! A downside of the hot weather is he’s getting up early which means I’m going to have to be on the ball on Saturday.

I keep thinking I’m on leave tomorrow!! I am WFH though so no traipsing for miles in the heat with my laptop on my back. I thought it was 3 miles to the office but my Fitbit says it’s 3.5. I know they’re not 100% accurate. It’s a 21,000 steps day today anyway.

The air con at work is a bit fierce, at one point I was wishing I’d brought a coat with me. When I stepped out of the building to go home it was like walking into a furnace.

Went to Lidl on the way home so not a NSD.

Veggie stir fry for tonight’s dinner, just something quick so I’m not in the kitchen for ages.

Picked another courgette from the garden this morning 🥳
