Did you see the dead bird? Was it a pterodactyl? 😁

@Sun_Addict wasn't there a huge bird- the roc- in The Arabian Nights that could carry off adults in armour? Perhaps you have one of those? Xx

And there was I being all mundane & thinking ostrich or emu, or in my wildest flight of fantasy a dodo!!   I've always been told I lack imagination & now it has been proved.

Well judging by the state of the greenhouse it was Rod Hull’s emu with Rod still attached 😆 I asked him what he did with this dead bird that caused so much havoc and he said he’d buried it. As our garden soil is currently like concrete due to lack of rain this is highly suspicious. My guess is he knocked it over a bit like when he blamed the kitten for knocking over a very heavy pot with a palm tree in it.

I got a fair bit of garden tidying done today plus some cleaning up in the house. Filled the garden waste bin again. Spent a bit of time reading my book in the chair. I’m currently reading I made a mistake by Jane Corry and it’s absolutely brilliant, a thriller, I can barely put it down. I don’t recall reading any of her books before but pleased to note I have two more of hers on my bookshelf 😃

Have also been throwing the dog’s ball to the kitten. She’s so funny, she chases after it and dribbles it between her paws. Then she crouches down like a sheep dog and waits for me to throw it 🤣

You could not make up some of his excuses, they are an odd sort of genius!! You really should go back through the diary and copy out the parts about the trials and tribulations of Mr SA, and put it all together to make a book, it would be both sad and funny (for the readers at least), and would be a good read for others caring for people with his problem!
Some of the funniest things he’s said were when he had the brain tumour. Talk about finding humour in the darkest times. When he was in hospital he pointed to one of those trollies that have the blood pressure monitors and said “see him, he’d better not be coming over here” 🤣 He also saw rats everywhere, used to drive me mad.

Forgot to say, earlier something dropped out of my hair, it was only a blooming grasshopper 😱 Took me ages to catch it and put it outside, they can’t half jump! Makes a change from spiders I suppose 😆

Yikes between birds that can knock things over and grasshoppers in hair, think I’m glad I’m up north. Also seems strange as we have had quite a bit of rain up here cool temps where I know down south it’s been hot and so dry. Xx

    Morning happy Sunday.

There has just been the biggest ginger Tom cat staring through the patio doors. The dog went flying down the garden after it and both of my cats came running in with huge bushy tails 🤣 The Tom cat lives next door but one and he’s always teasing the dog, he’s bigger than her 😆

I don’t think we will go to the festival today, I think it will be too much faff with Mr SA and his giant scooter, especially if it’s busy. It will also take a massive chunk out of my day, it’s 3 miles each way plus the walking around when we get there. The weather is beautiful again today so I’d prefer to chill in the garden and also get the suitcases out as we fly two weeks tomorrow 😱 Mr SA seems to think he needs a whole new wardrobe of clothes so my aim is to prove to him he has enough to take!

I’ve sent Mr SA out with the dog for a bit of peace.

I’m going to do my meal plan for next week, will be using up stocks again. Tonight’s dinner is Balsamic, maple & chilli glazed salmon with Pak Choi, trying a new recipe from the WW app. Lunch is leftover pizza from last night with salad.
