Hope all is quiet on the destructive bird and super strength kitten front today.
I made the Spanish chorizo and butter bean stew - it was lovely and will definitely make it again. Thanks for the recipe

Just finished reading the last few weeks of your diary. Sorry to hear about Mr SA's falls and the wreckage he has been causing. 😱. The proper bird incident made me smile but frustrating for you again as usual. Not long now to Zante.......🌞🍹⛱Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

The suitcases are out, Mr SA now realises he has 9 (yes 9) pairs of shorts in his suitcase alone. He tried to swap the shorts he was wearing for ones in his case but told him no, they are for holiday 😞 Won’t pack until the day before but good to know what’s in them. Not done a lot else to be honest apart from take the dog on the park, the weather has been far too good to be indoors. Spent a lot of time reading in my hanging chair. Finished my book, it was so good.Mr SA has already started talking about work tomorrow, don’t need reminding thanks 😞
Roasted some beetroot, courgettes, red onion and peppers to add to couscous for work lunches tomorrow and Tuesday.Garden wise have 3 courgettes and 3 peppers not ready yet but will be soon. The one rescued tomato plant is producing tomatoes 🥳
NSD 2 for August today as we didn’t go anywhere 😃I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

Morning, happy Monday.
What a beautiful day, it was a pleasure to walk to work this morning. Not happy about having to work in a heatwave though, I'd much rather be sitting in the garden, I feel another day off looming 😆 It's really quiet in the office I'm sat all on my own. I'll stay until lunchtime then finish off my day at home.
I need to nip to Lidl on the way home so it won't be a NSD. Should be under a fiver though.
Today's exercise is the walking to/from work and a strength training session from the FitOn app after work.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of quorn lasagne from freezer stocks with salad to use up fridge stocks.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Love Mr SA imagination. A real bird that he buried in the garden 😳😳……you deserve that holiday SA 👍January spends - £587.583

Ended up spending a bit more than a fiver in Lidl but still less than a tenner. They had a huge pile of the £1.50 fruit/veg boxes but most of them seemed to have loads of bunches of spring onions in them plus I couldn't manage to carry one back home with my work stuff and the other shopping.
Finances for last week have been totted up and I ended up overspending by £10 on the grocery budget so have shaved £10 off this week's budget. Oddment of £3.03 sent to the Christmas pot and £170 sent to the Coventry regular saver account.
Overpayment of additional borrowing part of mortgage went out last week plus the usual payment. I was surprised to discover I've been overpaying for a year so £1200 overpaid so far! It's brought the total balance down to £3286.74. If I can keep up the overpayment it will be paid off in a year's time which is 11 months early. Not sure how long I'll be able to keep it up though with the cost of living crisis so we shall see. The mortgage is now down to £11,591.58, I'd like to start overpaying this once the additional borrowing part has gone.
