    Morning all, happy Tuesday

WFH today. Bit of a wet start to the day so glad I'm not walking to work in that!

Mr M delivery all put away. No missing items and one sub - wonky grapes for normal grapes, can live with that 😆

I've got quite a few back to back meetings in my calendar this morning but this afternoon looks quieter (so far!).

Today's exercise is 15k steps, bums and tums session at lunchtime and resistance band training later. I need to take Mr SA's old phone to the post office to send back as I need a receipt so will nip out before my meetings start.

Tonight's dinner is an old favourite I make quite a lot because it's so delicious - harissa prawn orzo from the Skinny Kitchen Secrets website recipe here I don't use raw prawns, I just throw pre cooked ones in at the end. Great way to use up courgettes too. I used up the last of the huge punnet of strawberries I got from Lidl reduced to 90p in overnight oats for my breakfast and I made a batch of spicy carrot and red lentil soup for my work lunches on Sunday to use up some past their best carrots.

A quick and tasty soup can be made using a pack of frozen leeks (I can only find them in Tesco at the moment, they're seasonal in Aldi), 3 smallish potatoes cubed, maybe 2 tablespoons of lentils, a teaspoon of dried mint, and about 2 pints of water with a stock cube. Bring to boil  then simmer for about 30 mins (I pressure-cook for 20 mins), then add about 2 tablespoons of frozen peas and either liquidise or blend with a stick blender. Season to taste.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Thank you @satchmo1, you can never have too many soup recipes 😆 I live on it for my work lunches especially when the weather gets colder.

    Morning, happy hump day.

When I woke up this morning I thought it was Sunday! At least I'm WFH again so don't have to rush.

I'm going out for a walk in a bit to get some steps in and some fresh air. Other exercise will be a lunchtime walk with the dog and ClubFit at 6pm (usually FitSteps but the instructor is on holiday).

It could possibly be NSD1 of August, as I don't need anything today. I'm still going to count them just not setting a target.

Tonight's dinner is a red pepper stuffed with Mexican style rice with salad.

Still not heard from the carpet man so I'm assuming he's not coming. A neighbour has a carpet shop so they are my next port of call, should've asked them in the first place really.  I hate it when I've got bits to finish and can't get anyone to turn up! No one seems to be interested in small jobs. I've got Mr SA's old chair still in the drive and want to book the council to pick it up but I'm waiting for the new carpet/flooring so they can pick up the old carpet at the same time as the second item is half price.

    19 days until Zante 😎

£22.96 interest received from one of my savings accounts, better than nothing.

When my courgette seedlings were ready to plant on, one of the plants was tiny, really weedy looking, I was going to throw it but decided to plant it with the lettuce just to give it a chance. It has turned into a huge plant, much bigger than the others, the flowers and leaves are gigantic, it has totally taken over the lettuce though.  Out of the tomato plants that died, one has survived thankfully. Picked some ripe tomatoes from the dying plants. Aubergines and peppers are starting to look promising.

Did a bit of garden tidying after work plus sat for a while in the hanging chair reading my book before I did the ClubFit class. It was so hot this afternoon, I’m sure it wasn’t forecast.
