What a stressful day! :( I'm glad he got through it in one piece but that hole is definitely a wrong 'un. I had to get somebody out of a tumbled electric wheelchair once and in that case needed a portable hoist - thank goodness you had members of the public to help out. I hope both of you are getting over the shock now.

As for L!dl, I once set off alarms in anther supermarket where they had a collection point for parcels. Their 'big shop' had sent my items through without removing the security tags despite them being already paid for. It's just as well they were known for doing so, as the staff cheerfully put it right for me.

The dinner looks yummy: red onions, tomatoes, peppers?, butter beans, vegetarian sausages, spinach? I might be tempted to recreate that! One of our agency workers brings in something that smells delicious and which he describes as 'spinach'. I'm sure there's more to it than that and the smell is delicious, but I haven't worked out the other ingredients to give it a try!

@Cherryfudge here is the recipe for the Spanish style stew.https://www.weightwatchers.com/uk/recipe/spanish-style-butterbean-stew/5e3433d9cbc89502256f8501
I used Linda McCartney vegetarian chorizo and red pepper sausages instead of chorizo, cooked them first and sliced them up. You can replace the sherry vinegar for red wine vinegar.

@ladyholly I've no plans to sue the council, I just want them to be aware and to sort it out before someone is seriously injured. When I tripped over the metal bolt in the pavement earlier this year they removed it within days, they're usually pretty good.

    Morning all, happy Friday 😎

Happy payday for me. Finances have all been sorted. Some oddments have been sent to the Christmas pot so it now holds £400.75.

Also DD's payday and she's already paid her board so that's gone straight into the holiday pot.

I think my 12 months is up with the Coventry Regular Saver so need to check on that.

I don't know whether I'll hit my target 12/12 NSDs today, not sure what I'm doing yet. This is why I want to drop the set target from next month.

Forgot to say I bought Mr SA yet another camping chair a few days ago and it arrived yesterday. This one is a heavy duty one and is supposed to hold weight up to 23 stones. It appears to be much sturdier than any he's had before so fingers crossed he doesn't break this one.

I also need to contact Mr SA's phone insurance if it's still not ringing out or receiving calls. It was in his pocket when he fell in the pond yesterday!

Tasks for today are to sort out my holiday clothes and toiletries as it's now only 3 weeks away.

Exercise will be minimum 15k steps and a yoga session. Tonight's dinner is something simple - scampi, sweet potato wedges and loads of veg. I've got the other half of the butter bean stew for lunch.

I had a try at doing NSDs but it didn't really work with a teenager. I can ask 4 times if he needs anything before I go shopping and be answered with a no to be told the next morning that he has no deodorant, or needs a comb etc or any of a myriad of small things. I mostly aim for low spend days which suits us much better. Living with Mr SA is a bit like having a teenager I suppose (although mine threw his phone to his friend as he was falling in the big lake in the park) so maybe low spends would suit?

    Toddler more like 🤣

I’m just going to concentrate on sticking to my budget. I used to average around 8-10 NSDs before and happy with that.

Glad to hear the pothole has been dealt with. Your council is more efficient than ours although I must admit when we reported trees leaning and uprooting earlier in the year they were pretty quick but we went via a councillor not to the council.
