I’m not enjoying the weather at all. It has clouded over and is really muggy. It feels as if it needs a good storm to clear it, but that’s not forecast. It’s going to be hot overnight 😳
You'll have to tell Mr SA if he breaks your chair he won’t get any spends until he’s paid for a new one.

Still waiting for the carpet man, he said Monday evening. If he’s not here soon I’ll assume he’s coming another day. I told him we’re in every evening. I usually go to bed at 9pm 😆

    Morning happy Tuesday.

Day off today 🥳 A coffee and browse round town first then meeting a work friend for lunch in a pub by the canal. Looking forward to a Mr SA free day without being at work.

Very overcast and humid this morning. 2 loads of washing done and on the line.

The carpet man didn’t turn up, if he doesn’t come tonight I’ll give him a ring.

Mr M shop delivered and put away. No missing items and one acceptable sub. They sent me a voucher for a free sharing pack of crisps, I don’t usually buy sharing packs but I don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. They subbed the big bag for a pack of 6, which is much better for us 👍

So nice not to have to rush about this morning.

I’ve had a lovely day out. I’m shattered though as have done 28,000 steps. Walked all round town looking for things that apparently don’t exist, had a nice coffee in my favourite Cafe Ner0 then met my friend for lunch by the canal. It was lovely to see her even if she was moaning about work most of the time 😆

I hate it when I can’t find what I want. I’ve been in almost every shop in town but can’t find a bikini with roll top bottoms in my size, only big sizes left 😩 Online is the same! I don’t like swimsuits and don’t want skimpy bottoms that barely cover your lady bits 🤭 or enormous ones that come up to your waist. Same with a skirt I’m looking for, tiered gypsy style, long but not maxi, crinkle type fabric to travel in.

Still no sign of the carpet man, will give him a ring tomorrow.

Hope the carpet man arrives soon.
I’ve found it really hard to find clothes for Dh and myself…..lots of very big and very small sizes but I’ve really had to shop around for average sizes 😏

Have found 2 pairs of roll top bikini bottoms and 1 plain coloured top that will match one of the bottoms online in the sale (M&Co) so just need to find a plain top to go with the other pair.

With hindsight I would’ve bought them in Lanzarote, they have a far better choice there. Shops in Zante aren’t great so not waiting until I get there. Too hot there in August to shop anyway. I’m flying and flopping 🤣

I was looking at just that type of skirt recently, but I can’t remember where..possibly Joe Browns sale?

I've looked on there but not what I'm after. It's the sort of thing that would probably come under holiday shop, my go to places in the past would've been Debenhams or BHS. Debenhams still have an online presence so another avenue to explore. M&S have one but it's way too long.

    Morning all, happy hump day.

WFH today thank goodness as my legs still ache from all that walking in the heat yesterday. I'll go out for a walk later though and I've got a live FitSteps class at 6pm.

It was lovely to sit in the garden this morning reading my book with a coffee, listening to the birds singing and watching my cats stalk each other. A young squirrel was running along the fence and they were both mesmerised by it. It was tiny and had the scrawniest tail 😆 It's so peaceful in the morning before Mr SA gets up. The dog has been up and outside but has gone back to bed.

    Today should be NSD 5/12.

I'm thinking about taking Monday and Tuesday off as leave with predicted temperatures looking to be 36 degrees. I'm terrible in the summer for not wanting to work when it's hot and sunny, I just want to be outside in it. I had originally booked today off but swapped it for a Friday at the end of the month. I'm desperate to go on holiday now, I need a proper break, got just over 5 weeks to go.

I'm supposed to be making a fish pie with cauliflower mash for tonight's dinner but may change my mind if it's too hot, although eating hot food when it's hot doesn't bother me.
