SA, in today's Pilates class, after a particularly demanding exercise, one lady exclaimed "Jesus!". The instructor said "He won't help you", we all giggled...What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?5

Morning happy Friday 🥂
Day off today 🥳💃
The painter will be here at 8, I don’t think he’ll be here long. Will be a big spends day as he’ll need paying. Worth every penny though, it looks brilliant. Next job is a new carpet.Hoping to tick some jobs off my list today. It doesn’t help that I keep adding to it. Weather looks good so will be spending some time in the hanging chair finishing off my book, almost finished reading Other People’s Secrets by Louise Candlish, I’ve enjoyed it.Need to take the dog for a run before it gets too hot for her.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
The painting is done. He finished mid-morning, he’s done a brilliant job.Rang the carpet man, he’s coming on Monday evening.
Mr SA’s scooter for Zante is booked.Have removed several tree branches in the garden today and have the scratches on arms/legs to prove it. Completely filled the garden waste bin plus a huge pile of branches that won’t fit in.Enjoyed reading in my chair, finished my book. The weather has been lovely. It was so hot at the bottom of the garden that the plants started wilting.Have been outside all day so will sleep well tonight.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Forgot to add, the dog was so funny, when I went up the ladder to chop the tree branches down she had her tail between her legs and was cowering. Bless her she does this every time I use a ladder, obviously thinks it doesn’t bode well 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Happy Saturday 🥂
Went to B&M this morning. Mr SA insisted on coming with me and brought the dog. It’s around an hours walk. He had a run in with a dog walker on the way there. The pavements round here are very narrow, not helped by all the blackberry bushes taking over everywhere. The dog, who wasn’t on a lead😡 stopped and wouldn’t budge, Mr SA scooted past barely missing the dog’s paw. The bloke shouted at Mr SA and there ensued an argument. In the end I said enough is enough you’re both in the wrong, Mr SA for being impatient and the dog walker for not having his dog on a lead on a main road. Give me strength 😫
Anyway, parked Mr SA and the dog outside Greggs with a coffee and sausage roll while I had a good look round B&M. Mr SA moaned I’d been in there ages so reminded him he wanted to come with me, I would’ve preferred to go on my own. I got some new lamp shades for the hall, wood stain and a few other random bits.DGD was 8 today, she had a hot tub party with her friends which she enjoyed immensely. DS said they all had lemonade in plastic champagne glasses and thought they were the bees knees 😆 She was still buzzing when I spoke to her earlier.
Caught Mr SA in my hanging chair 😩 Turfed him out pretty sharpish. After what happened last time I can’t believe he did this. He got a bit tetchy saying I can’t stop him going in it. I pointed out he would end up breaking it like he does everything else and that I need something that’s mine where I can go for a break.Made butternut squash dhal for tonight’s dinner, beef curry and chips for Mr SA, he’d cry if I gave him dhal.
I’ve got a bottle of rose cava ice cold in the fridge so will be opening that as soon as I’ve cleared up the dinner pots. That’s me asleep after the first glass as usual, such a party animal 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
