It's time to suggest that the process for doing the stats is formalised in your internal documentation, and that this becomes part of everyone's induction training! What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3

So far today Mr SA has lost his keys, they turned up in the pocket of his shorts that were in the washing machine. Shortly afterwards he fell straight through his new camping chair and completely wrecked it. Yet another chair he’s broken 😡 And he wonders why I won’t let him sit in my hanging chair. In more positive news I have finally finished painting the garden bench I started painting about 3 months ago 🥳 Another frog crossed off the list.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Hooray to painting the garden bench. Hope Mr SA doesn’t sit on it whilst it’s wet 😳 Hoping the treatment he’s chosen does it’s job 🤞

Happy Monday
Phew what a scorcher 😎
WFH this morning, did what I had to do, logging off now for the afternoon. Have booked tomorrow off as leave.
Not a NSD had to go out and buy bread first thing as it had gone mouldy in the bread bin. This is down to Mr SA using the new bread before he finishes the old loaf, it's something very annoying he does. He's the same with spread and milk.
Finances for last week have been done and there was a £9 overspend in the grocery budget. This week is the last week in the 4 week budget period so will have to try harder. We shouldn't need too much this week (in theory). Have done a meal plan for the whole week ahead:
Tonight - Caribbean style salmon bowl
Tuesday - Roasted tomato couscous with feta
Wednesday - scampi, sweet potato wedges and salad
Thursday - veg lasagne and salad
Friday - lightly dusted cod and veg
Saturday - beetroot burger, wedges and salad
Sunday - vegetable paella
The majority of the ingredients I have in stock. Mr SA's meal plan revolves around what's in the freezer.
Sent an oddment of £6.09 to the Christmas pot, now standing at £365.77.

SA, I freeze my bread as soon as I buy it, and just take out as many slices as are needed. They separate quite easily, and it's easier to spread butter thinly when the bread's frozen.
Maybe you could freeze half of your loaf, so that Mr SA doesn't have the fumble around in the freezer? What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3 -

Another fan of freezing half a loaf while using the other half. We do this with home-baked & bought bread & it does keep it fresher.

I shall have to make sure there’s enough room in the freezer for half a loaf, should be do-able. I’ve run freezer stocks right down over the last few weeks.I enjoyed my afternoon off work. I’ve pottered about getting odd jobs done in between sitting in the garden reading my book. It’s quite cool in the dining room where my desk is so when I first ventured outside the heat hit me like it does when you first get off a plane in a hot country 😆 The cats have been hiding under bushes all day but the dog still kept bringing me her ball to throw. Eventually I put her in her paddling pool to cool down.Did a live strength training session earlier, she toned it right down given the heat but it was still a sweaty one.So glad I’ve booked tomorrow off work.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Have a lovely day off tomorrow. Hope you get to relax and read. One of my cats was stretched out on the kitchen floor while I was trying to cook dinner. I suppose the tiles are nice and cool but avoiding him was fun especially as he doesn't bother moving. "Flat out like a four penny haddock" as my Nan used to say 🤷♀️3
