Final day off work - although it will actually be a rest for me!

Thank goodness I don't have to go anywhere or have anyone coming today. The furthest I'm going is the park across the road with the dog.

Going to sort my September goals today, I saw an idea either online or magazine where someone had a large expense and they paid themselves back by cutting down on spending until it had been paid back. I think this will be a good idea for the vet bill and will give me a goal.

Be back later with plans :)

    End of August figures:

VSP £399.58 - still a lot less than I'd like it to be at this stage of the year as this is my Christmas money

    Emergency fund: £4000 - goal is £10,000
Debt: £2180 - paid just £60 off this month but this will be cleared in earnest after October. 0% until end March 2019.

Tesco cc has been totally cleared. However the vet's bill is pending. I'll have to clear this at the end of September but am lending myself the money which I will chip away at to pay back.

    September goals:

12 extra exercise sessions on top of my walking to and from work
    12 AFDs
    8 NSDs

Lose the 2lbs I put on over holidays by end of September

Start paying myself back the vet's bill £517.16
    Pay £80 off debt
Stick to budget - this is a MUST
No unnecessary spending - I don't need anything at the moment
Use up freezer/store cupboard stocks - meal plan!!!

Decorate living room before we go to Lanzarote
Do some more to the garden

I'm going to look at how I'm doing every Sunday to make sure I stay on track and not forget what I'm supposed to be doing after the first week.

    Here goes.....

    Thanks both :)

Unbelievably Mr SA had an alarm go off on his phone at 3.12am this morning - he said it was an X Factor competition he went in for. He's banned from this tonight, I have to get up at 4.45 as it is! He's been moaning about swollen glands all day today.

Mr SA, DD, the dog and cat have shared a huge chicken tonight that I got for £3 from Iceland 7 day deal. I had stuffed peppers. My Delciously Ella vegan cookbook I treated myself to on payday arrived today from Amazon, loads of lovely healthy recipes, can't wait to try. I find a lot of veggie recipes involve eggs, which I hate, so this book is just great for me.

Just watching X Factor, quite good so far this year, then will be off to bed for early start tomorrow. Back to work for a rest.

Boo to cat bills and yay to Mr SA's positive results.
With your paying yourself back idea, you could also try the idea of splitting into 100 x £5ish chunks and then you can mark them off when you pay them back. It's also a great demotivator as £5 doesn't seem that much but 100 of them is significant.
