I’ve received the quote for the living room makeover £4150. That’s for:

Complete replastering including boarding over the ceiling
New ceiling light and 2 new sockets
    2 new doors
    New skirting boards and architraves
    Built in window seat
New flooring (wood effect not a cheap one)

It’s slightly less than I was expecting so have accepted the quote. He can start late June which is great as it coincides with my Regular Saver, earmarked for this, maturing.
That sounds like a fantastic quote. Something to look forward too.

I came down from the shower and found the other half cleaning out the toaster tonight  🤣🤣🤣

I'm already looking forward to the photos of your room, the bedroom ones were beautiful.

No it’s literally 3 tiny drops of liquid in a empty bottle with a separate syringe. They’ve just given me 3 days worth. I managed to scrape a drop out this morning and mix in her food. It’s just painkillers, she doesn’t appear to be in pain and is quite lively.

Day off today. It’s my friend’s funeral this morning, really not looking forward to that 😢 Then I’m going to a retirement do this afternoon.

I did 4 loads of washing last night before prices go up today. Fortunately it’s a lovely sunny day so will peg it out. The last “cheap” gas/electric direct debit payment has gone out this morning. Still unsure of what next month’s will be.

Another £100 overpayment gone to the additional borrowing part of the mortgage. Might have to knock this on the head soon depending on gas/electric prices.

It will be something quick and easy for tonight’s dinner, scampi, wedges and veg for me, Mr SA will have chips and mushy peas with his,
