I hope today isn’t too bad. I think it’s good though to have a funeral evened out by a celebration, a much nicer way to end the day.
The energy prices have everyone on edge. I just want to know what it’ll be every single time, so we can plan. It’s the not knowing that makes it hard. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

We’re not due to go abroad till June, carried over from the last 2 years. Only issue at the moment is that we are due to fly from the northwest airport which is the worst to fly from and is currently taking you 3 hours just to get through security. It has been a nightmare with the queue for security snaking it’s way through the car park. Airport is on a recruitment drive to get more staff. Just hoping it has improved by time we go.Sorry to hear about the funeral this morning, look forward to this afternoon celebration. The funeral went well, so many people there that a lot of us had to stand at the back. The service was lovely, a celebration of her far too short life. So heartbreaking though 💔 I stayed for one drink afterwards then went to the retirement do. With hindsight I should’ve stayed at the wake as by the time I got to the other do most people had been and gone and I was sitting on my own for a fair bit before I was joined by a few other people. Stayed for one drink then went home.I’m glad today is over., funerals are never easy.On the money front bought an all day bus ticket and one drink so a fairly low spend day.Mr SA has been for his blood test and has done nothing but moan about his stomach since I got back home.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Your friend must have made an impact on so many people to have such a turn out. I hope it was some comfort to all of you to know she was so valued.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Happy Saturday 🥂
I need to go to the big Mr T this morning for a few bits so it won’t be a NSD, Saturdays never are.Nothing exciting planned for the rest of the day just cleaning/tidying, reading my book and learning some Spanish. Might book Mr SA’s scooter hire for the holiday and order the currency. The kitten has managed to take her cone off 3 times now. She’s worked out that if she puts her front paws on it and pulls it comes off. Cats are so crafty. Her stitches are healing very nicely so I want to try and keep it on her for the majority of the 10 days recommended.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Clever little kitty. She sounds as if she is doing ok after her ordeal.
im really pleased they are finally investigating Mr Sa’s tummy problems. Hope they can give him something.
It is so sad about your friend…….glad you got to pay your respects. I still think it’s so sad for those who died without having a proper send off during lockdowns.January spends - £587.583 -

I haven’t bought a meal deal for ages and had forgotten what good value they are. £10 from Mr T, wine included. I got Mr SA a steak and ale pie that will do him two meals, parmentier potatoes that we’ll share tomorrow evening and we had the key lime cheesecake slices with a coffee this morning. I might start buying them regularly.Tonight’s meal is pizza, wedges and salad.I need to decide on a colour scheme for the living room. It will be plain painted walls in a light colour but thinking about having the fireplace alcove walls a feature colour. The colour scheme for the bedroom just came to me when it was finished and I love it. I’m going to pick up a paint colour chart next week to get some ideas.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
