Poor cat and kitten. It would be safer to give it to a rescue. ☹️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Oh dear - not a good scenario with the cat. Is there just the one kitten then?
Your kitten seems to be doing well which is good to hear.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning, happy hump day.
The kitten slept behind my pillow all night and has had her breakfast. The painkillers the vet gave me are impossible to get out of the bottle. She only needs a tiny drop for 3 days and they have literally given me 3 tiny drops in a bottle. I'm supposed to fill a syringe to 0.2 and put it in her food but there is so little liquid in the bottle it's not going up the syringe. I've scraped some of the liquid onto the end of the syringe and put that in her food. Tomorrow I have to take 2 photos of the wound site and send them to the surgery. The vet will then do a phone consultation.
WFH again today. Should be a quiet day work wise - famous last words 😆
It should be a NSD today meaning I'll exceed my target at 13/12. I'm going for 12 again in April as we go to Lanzarote at the end of the month and there'll be a few holiday bits to buy.
Exercise will be dog walking, some yoga or stretching and a live WW Dance Fit class later. It's the last Dance Fit as the instructor is leaving for pastures new. Someone is meant to be replacing her though. I hope so as I'm really enjoying the live classes.
I need to look at what needs using up in the fridge before I decide on tonight's dinner.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Hope you kitten is ok and the wound heals nicely. It's horrible having to put them through it but it is for their own good.
So sad to hear that her mum has had yet another litter. Some people really should be banned from keeping animals3 -

I really admire your care for the wee kitten but could (virtually) throttle your daughter for the extra stress she causes you - as if you don't have enough going on in your life.
Sorry, just boiling over with annoyance today. Friend just recovering from a breast cancer op now wants me to buy her cigarettes..... Are some people just born stupid or is it learned behaviour?Credit card One :£926.60( Oct 21 )(Nov 21 vet bill disaster), £999(Jan 22), £974(Feb 22)

After I finished work at 3.30 I tried out the new Team TOMM (The Organised Mum Method) cleaning podcast to clean my kitchen. It was absolutely brilliant. You get 30 minutes broken down into 5 minute chunks and it tells you which tasks to do. For instance the first 5 minutes was empty/clean out the bin, empty the toaster crumb tray and a quick look in the fridge to see if anything needs throwing. She tells you when you’re halfway through and when you’ve got a minute left and there’s music to accompany. This sort of thing is right up my street 😆 The 30 minutes flew by and I’ve got a nice clean kitchen now.I decided on veggie lasagne for tonight’s dinner. Have made 4 portions, one for tonight and 3 to freeze.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

I like TOMM but haven’t tried the podcast yet. The method does work quite well for me once I get into the swing of it. 😊Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I’ve received the quote for the living room makeover £4150. That’s for:
Complete replastering including boarding over the ceiling
New ceiling light and 2 new sockets
2 new doors
New skirting boards and architraves
Built in window seat
New flooring (wood effect not a cheap one)
It’s slightly less than I was expecting so have accepted the quote. He can start late June which is great as it coincides with my Regular Saver, earmarked for this, maturing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
