Oh dear - not a good scenario with the cat. Is there just the one kitten then?

Your kitten seems to be doing well which is good to hear.

There is just the one kitten. The kitten we have now was also the only kitten.

Hope you kitten is ok and the wound heals nicely. It's horrible having to put them through it but it is for their own good.

So sad to hear that her mum has had yet another litter. Some people really should be banned from keeping animals :(

I think I would be suggesting DD found a friend who made better choices.  Except none of us would actually do that even if we thought it.  Yet another kitten ......!
It won't surprise you to know that I would definitely steer DD towards a kinder, more responsible friend, especially as her mum is left shelling out for the daughter's "rescue" missions. On the other hand, maybe the daughter is quite young and doesn't have too many other friends? I would report the "friend" to the RSPCA. A lot of her actions actually involve animal cruelty. Not getting your pets neutered is at best irresponsible as is advertising them on social media. Rant over.

The painkillers the vet gave me are impossible to get out of the bottle. She only needs a tiny drop for 3 days and they have literally given me 3 tiny drops in a bottle. I'm supposed to fill a syringe to 0.2 and put it in her food but there is so little liquid in the bottle it's not going up the syringe. I've scraped some of the liquid onto the end of the syringe and put that in her food. 😆

I have had to stop the vet prescribing that for my animals as I can never get the liquid to come out of the plastic bottle. I thought it was because of my arthritis but you don't seem to suffer from that, so it must be a design fault.
I really admire your care for the wee kitten but could (virtually) throttle your daughter for the extra stress she causes you - as if you don't have enough going on in your life.
Sorry, just boiling over with annoyance today. Friend just recovering from a breast cancer op now wants me to buy her cigarettes..... Are some people just born stupid or is it learned behaviour?

I like TOMM but haven’t tried the podcast yet. The method does work quite well for me once I get into the swing of it. 😊
