That’s Thursday done.Interesting to read all the different points of view in the last few posts.I was a bit wary of returning to the office at first but to see some normalcy has been so good for my mental wellbeing and others have said the same.DS rang to say he has tested positive today. He was here on Saturday but outside most of the time putting the fence panel back up. We didn’t catch it from DD when she had it and she was touching everything and not particularly isolating so fingers crossed.I’m shattered today after doing a full day in the office, although I might have spent more time talking than working as it was a lot busier today. Everyone wants to chat it’s like we’ve all been released from prison 😆
Mr SA has had another unpleasant accident 🤢 I could really do without this.Have been in Sainsburys at lunchtime and Lidl on the way home so not a NSD. Clocked up just over 22,000 steps so happy with that.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Glad you had a good day at work. Same for me I feel elated every time I see someone I haven't seen for 2 years. I am so pleased to be able to WFH and the office.Sorry to hear Mr SA had another accident , happy to see you have a day off next week.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2

So sorry you are having continual clean ups as you have more than enough to do not to mention it being unpleasant to deal with.Has Mr SA agreed to pads at night. Not much help daytime I know but at least it might help. If he gets used to the night time ones then perhaps you can persuade him to day time ones as well. There are pants which are like the childrens pull ups which might be more acceptable but I am not certain if they would have the capacity needed. ( sorry I have tried to be delicate). Might be worth talking to the continence nurse if you can persuade him as they should know.4

Oh no! to the latest accident.
How difficult for you. I'm very glad you got your flooring changed, but horrendous nonetheless.
I hope your son feels okay and is over it soon.
I think the social side of going to work is huge and it will be helpful to many to get back into the swing of things - though from what you say, I wonder if productivity will decrease! With my job we've gone the other day: worked throughout from our workplace or been seconded elsewhere and the workforce is under such strain from people leaving that we can only run the service on three days a week, not 24/7. DH misses going into an office and has never met his current colleagues in real life.
Re: flu, I was trying to say we should treat it as the serious problem it it, causing many deaths some of which are preventable. For many reasons we need to get back to as normal a life as possible and that will come for most but there are those who will remain vulnerable despite all strategies, and I feel for these people.
And yes, the 'secondary' deaths Covid, by which I mean when illness was not treated in a timely manner because of the pandemic, are another epidemic in themselves.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Mr SA's accidents seem to be getting more regular.
Is there nothing the health care professionals can suggest to try and limit them?3 -
He’s been wearing the pads at night and puts them on after his late afternoon shower. Unfortunately the accident happened before he could do this.
@Cherryfudge I think work realised this would happen initially and know once everyone has got over the novelty of seeing other people it will be back to business as usual.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
Do check that your getting all the help/benefits etc that mr sa is entitled as the criteria often changes.
Not very pleasant to come home to after a long day. Nice to hear your planning some me time.3 -
It must be good to be back with people again. The balance you have between work and home work sounds ideal for you……gives chance to plan some ‘me’ days in 👍
The accidents from Mr SA don’t sound very pleasant at all. I watched Kate Garaway on tv the other day caring for her partner - I thought it was very brave of her….made me think of you - especially when she said she misses his chat and having somebody to share things with.January spends - £587.583 -
