Happy Christmas 🎄
I’ll be honest and say I still don’t feel particularly festive. I didn’t do much in the run up to it because I was so busy at work, it just went by in a blur. Then when I sit down to watch something festive I just fall asleep which is annoying.Mr SA switched the TV on at 4am 🥱 reckons he’s got a tummy bug, no please no 🙁 I really don’t fancy spending the day washing and cleaning up after him.
I’m glad we don’t have visitors today, it’s just the 3 of us, 6 if you count the furries 😆 We don’t have a traditional Christmas Day dinner, have been known to have curry in the past. I’ve got chicken breast joints for Mr SA and DD, nut roast for me, baby roast potatoes and plenty of veg. We’ll have that tonight. However I do have my traditional smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel with a glass of Buck’s Fizz for breakfast 😋
Hoping to get some time to put my feet up but will take the dog for a long walk too. We sometimes go to the local for a couple at lunchtime but I don’t think we will this year as it gets absolutely rammed. We’ve got plenty of drinks here.
I’ve mentioned it before but one of my favourite Christmas days was the last one Mr SA was well when we took the dog to the coast for the day. The roads were clear so we got there quite quickly, had a lovely walk along the beach and a picnic in the car. It was a lovely mild sunny day. We got back home to curry cooking in the slow cooker.I hope everyone has a lovely day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
