After the build up and waking up yesterday not feeling very festive at all, we had a lovely day with DS2 and his family. He used to be a chef so did all the cooking yesterday. I’ve not had a Xmas dinner cooked for me since my mum passed away in 1996. It was a lovely treat. DS1 went with his GF to her family for the day. All did LFT and all came back negative. This morning one of the family had tested positive and is not well. DS and GF are both nurses and due to work tomorrow but have had to go for PCR tests this morning and both need a negative test before being allowed back in work. Can see why the NHS is struggling for staff, would help if they can get their test results back quickly. My DH is suffering this morning after overindulging, told him a good walk in this weather will sort him out.xx

That's easy to cook for compared to some in our family!

Took the dog on the park again but we didn’t stay long as it was so foggy. Very muddy too and treacherous underfoot even in wellies. I don’t think the fog has lifted here since last Thursday, very gloomy.

Its very gloomy here as well. Not foggy just overcast and drizzly. Really miserable weather. The kind that makes you want to hibernate in the house.

Just to make  you jealous it was quite warm and sunny when we took the dogs out. Very muddy under foot though. Now having smoked salmon and will make duck risotto later.
