Things can only get better

Went for a long walk with the dog this morning to get my steps in. Mr SA is fine, I just think he went overboard on the buffet food yesterday, they all were like a swarm of locusts on it. 

The dog has been sick but she was way too excited this morning so not surprised. 

I’ve had some lovely presents, the Ainsley cookbook has some very nice recipes to try. The other day I bought myself a bottle of gin and can you believe DD has bought me the same one. Oh well at least I’m well stocked up. Mr SA is pleased with his presents but has reminded me that he still needs a coat 😐

Will be making a start on the dinner soon. Oh to have someone cook for me, that would be heaven. 

Not spent anything so NSD 8/10 today.

We are waiting for our dog to be sick. He is every year because he gets over excited. It's like a Christmas tradition for him 🤣🤣🤣

He is currently playing with his new toys but can't make his mind up which to play with. Spoilt dog!

Glad you have had a nice day and that Mr SA is OK.

Oh flipping eck my cousin’s wife has got Covid I was sitting next to her in a car on Tuesday 😩 Also sitting with her at the table in the pub all afternoon after the funeral.

I’m sure if I can manage to dodge it living in the same house as DD aka Miss Covid 2021 with her Covid hands everywhere I can survive a few hours sitting next to my cousin’s wife. We were only saying how we’d been lucky to dodge it, she’s a nurse too.

That's what I was just thinking. If you didn't get it with Miss S_A touching everything......fingers crossed anyway. For what it's worth I'm glad Mr S_A didn't have a tummy bug either. Our cat has also puked if that helps?

One of my cats has wee’d in the porch and in the corner of the dining room if that helps. Luckily it’s a frequent wee corner in the dining room so has a puppy pad propped up there all the time 🙄

Morning, happy Boxing Day 🎄

Mr SA and the dog are still fast asleep, I’m having a coffee and watching the cats tearing around the house 😆 The kitten jumped right over the older cat. 

I don’t think we’ll do much today apart from walking the dog. Should be another no spends day, the shops are closed and we don’t need anything. 

Fell asleep watching TV again last night so would like to catch up with things I wanted to watch. I opened a bottle of Prosecco and didn’t even get as far as pouring any out. I’m fortunate I’ve never had problems with sleeping, my problem is staying awake, it seems to be the minute I get comfy on the sofa. 

Trying to motivate myself to do Joe Wicks Boxing Day live workout at 10am 😬

Got a massive stack of ironing to do. Need to do some Spanish too, only did one lesson yesterday. Making a curry for tonight’s dinner.

Ironing? On Boxing Day? Nooooooo!
I don’t iron any more. I used to and it was never ending, so after a hundred years of drudgery I just stopped. Now I only iron if something really needs it and we are going out. jumpers, jeans, T-shirt’s, bedding, etc. You can hardly tell the difference. I usually air things flat on the radiator, or hang them up/fold them straight from the line or the drier. I recommend trying it if you dislike ironing.
