It is annoying isn't it when people use the last of things. I have agreed with DS that I would rather throw empty packaging away myself than find that we have totally run out of something.

The visitors have gone. They’ve eaten all 50 mini sausage rolls, 40 mini pizzas, 20 Indian snacks and 2 large bags of crisps between them 😆 DIL has never seen Love Actually so put it on in the background, forgot about the unsuitable for kids bits 😱 but they were too engrossed in their Christmas Eve boxes to notice. They always open their Christmas Eve boxes at ours. When did they become a thing? I used to buy my kids a book and PJs for Christmas Eve so guess it has evolved over the years. The dog is worn out and asleep in her basket, the kitten hid from the kids the whole time they were here. The older cat let DGD play with her which is a first, she usually hides.I can’t put the presents under the tree until tomorrow as the dog thinks all presents are for her and rips them open. Plus Mr SA is a devil for feeling them and guessing what they are. Used to drive my mum nuts. When my mum and MIL were alive we used to visit them Christmas Eve to exchange presents and have a drink and bite to eat with them and so the tradition carries on with DS and family coming to us.Yet another friend has Covid, this particular strain seems to be unavoidable but thankfully no worse than a cold for most.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

I am putting the presents under the tree last thing tonight when Mr RS takes the dog for his last walk.
The dog would have opened them all by now if not 🤣🤣🤣
He will be like the proverbial dog with two tails in the morning when he sees the pile of presents 😍🥰3 -
Forgot to add, rewind a few years and Christmas Eve would see Mr SA (pre illness days) desperately scouring town for my Christmas present. One year he not only bought me all 3 perfumes on my list I gave him of ones to choose from but also spent over £200 on the Estée Lauder counter in JL and another £100 on Origins. Incidentally he got a free head massage 🙄 None of this had been budgeted for and the credit card bill in January was a shock to say the least. I was so cross with him as I’d only asked him to buy me one of the perfumes on the list.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
