It really was lovely to catch up with my family again, one of my cousins cried when she saw me. My other cousin has a lovely family I’d never met but knew about via FB. We have vowed to meet up again under happier circumstances but you know how it goes …I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I'm glad it went well. Why don't you start planning that meeting with the cousins over Christmas? If you pitch it for the height of summer and suggest somewhere central and pleasant for a meeting point, you could all have it to look forward to. It's easy to think you'll do it one day, but it's better to make it happen!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Happy hump day, only one more working day to go to Christmas 🎄
I'm absolutely shattered this morning, travelling always takes it out of me. It's a shame I didn't get time to do a bit of shopping on the way home but I only just made my train and then just jumped in a taxi home at the station, I'd had enough.
Possibly a NSD today, I still have a few things to get but could leave them until tomorrow. The Christmas veg box arrives today but that was paid for a couple of weeks ago. The only present I need to get is a bottle of wine to add to DD's stuff. Mr SA will have to wait until after Christmas for his coat. I've got him a beer gift set and a Costa travel mug to open on the day so he won't be able to complain he's got nothing.
Heard last night a work friend is in hospital with Covid. She's a fitness instructor and only in her 30s, no health conditions. Not boosted yet though. She's been quite poorly with it for a couple of weeks now, not getting any better.
Going to try and give the house a good clean today. Mr SA let it get a bit untidy yesterday, crumbs everywhere. The dog will need a good run on the park too as she missed out yesterday.
Just got one work meeting this morning then the rest of the day will be spent on admin bits. Most people are breaking up today so hopefully no little extras will be coming my way.

Yet another friend gone down with Covid. No need for Boris to put us in lockdown over Christmas Covid seems to be doing that all by itself.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
