Just booked 2 "free" returns to malta in october for £76 including baggage  this compares to£201 for the next cheapest & using a hotel booked through travelrepublic, the whole thing is costing less than the flights from thomson. We triple check everything before hitting comfirm on the website though.

What confuses me is the Total Cost shown on the Passenger Details page, before you proceed to the payment page. This does not show Taxes/Fees whereas all the other pages (including Payment) do show them. Why do they miss out the Taxes/Fees on this page? Is there some law against it?

By the way, does anyone know if I'm likely to see a better offer than the current £10 flights to Riga and Tampere, based on past experience of Ryanair offers?
Many tx to all who post constructively in all the forums!

found ome flights to alicante for just over £100, flying in july. thats fine by us.
however when we come to put our details in
    1 bag airport check in = £24

also there is a charge for 0 bags and airport check in for my 2 young kids of £8, yet they arent allowed to take hand luggage

surely they cant charge for checking 2 kids in? when they have no hand luggage and only passports, this is nothing short of .... (you fill in the blanks)

is there any way around this

this has added £50 on top of cost of everything else

easyJet have started a sale today, do a comparison with your flights to alicante, also check https://www.charterflight.co.uk to see if they have anything cheaper.

Could anyone help? I thought the 'free' fares included all taxes and charges? (except payment, luggage etc). However, even though i cam find lots of 0.00 fees, these still add on taxes, even when i take off the insurance/check in extras. Any ideas? Thanks
  • Hi I've just booked a flight with ryan air and without them I wouldn't be going to poland from east mids as no one else flies there from east mids!

It was £24 for 1 bag return not 12 and £12 for a credit card payment. I paid £6 for a visa debit card payment. but if you take off all these charges its only 80 quid for 5 days in krakow! cheap as chips. Have flown with them before and they are ok no worse than british transport and thomas cook!!! (last time we flew with them it was a 12 hour delay) the worst flight ever was with JMC. They were just awful.

5 nights in krakow 180 quid how blooming cheap!! wouldn't be able to do it without ryan air!

You need to find a web fare of 0.01 this should come up as free not taxes.

The flights which come up as 0.00 add on taxes and charges.

(The free flights actually cost 1p each so for two peeps on a return flight it's 4p plus the credit/debit fee plus luggage)

    Yes - most of them!

However there arw some notable exceptions. Bologna is a fair distance from Forli, Paris is even further from Beauvais and Oslo is nowhere near Torp. There are good links from these places to the City centres, you just have to be aware of the distances.

Edit - Please add others if you can think of them

Bratislava is in a different country to Vienna!
Pisa is a fair distance from Florence.
