Cooking for one (Mark Three)

I had a Bird's eye vegan burger in two toasted pittas with ketchup and mustard this morning with the last of the salad. All I have left are three peppers and an apple, fresh food wise. I am getting an Asda delivery later.
I also had a packet of crisps! I'm about to make another cup of green tea.

also made a thai fish curry, 5 portions, so plenty to freeze but need to go and shop so that I don't end up eating the same thing every day for a weekI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. When I first started working full-time and earning the huge/princely sum of £3k/year, take home £184/month, I used to cycle the 6 miles to work and a few hundred yards before my office there was a shop that displayed indian foods in the window. One item was a samosa - but not how they make them now. Just 30p! I had one many days.
The samosas were triangular, but they were a full/fat pyramid, not a thinly filled triangle. Fat pyramids. Mashed potato, spices and peas. Loved those
While I do sometimes have samosas, I'm really yearning for the ones I used to have.
The shop also sold the best/most moist onion bhajis I've ever tasted... wide/chunky/flat rounds they were, lovely.6 -
I'm still collecting lists of great foods I could cook in an air fryer if/when I get one. Having built my list I can really see the benefits of me having one and am convinced I'd give it good use. I think, mostly, for quicker sausages and roasties + the difference between bothering to crisp up nuked jacket spuds or not + making chips from raw spuds + bothering to make my own scotch eggs. So it's still on the list of things I plan to buy next year. There's a raft of other foods I could/would cook in it as it'd be faster than, say, the toaster oven... but those items above are things I'd bother to do, rather than not bothering as the toaster oven would take too long or not give that maillard reaction.
Today I've scoffed: Sweeties, a pack of doritos and 3 fishcakes. I might have a shanghai curry noodle pot later as there's no danger of feeling I've "wasted" one since I've got a stock of a further 12 in the car still4 -
Good evening everyone,
What lovely thing to do for someone Farway, I'm sure they will bring great pleasure when they grow. 😁
CFO has resumed 😁😁, as my sis, nephew and puss were able to move back into their flat this afternoon. Well CFO has temporarily resumed as my kids arrive on Thursday for a few days!
The weather has been dreadful today the wind is fierce and the hail showers violent and long lasting. I've lost a pane in my greenhouse and a few fence panels. Repairs will be waiting until the Spring as it's pointless to consider it just now.
Last night's sea bream were gorgeous, I was very pleased with how they turned out and I've made stock today with the bones and heads. I was planning to have a pork chop for dinner tomorrow but that's been bumped until Monday and I'll make something with the stock instead as I don't want to freeze it as I have several batches in there already. I've cooked lots over the past three + weeks so tonight is an easy option of chicken kiev, baked spud, spinach, green beans & peas.

PN these Bombay samosas are the fat, pyramid type , only £2 for 3, n they're quite big ! The Punjabi ones, are a lot spicier, n are flat triangles:)
Airfryer's are fab! My oven has been broken for months, so I use the air fryer all the time !"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
