Into town mooching & shopping, very poor YS pickings this week but at least I got some compost for dahlia seed sowing master plan this weekend. I have to buy the 15L bags now, to fit in my pull along trolley. Started raining on way home, and it's still raining nowAvoided chippy next to Chemist when I collected my prescription
, Noted the Costcutter is now a Premier, looked same inside but maybe over time it'll change, still a corner shop though
Lunch, back to the 60s, lugged the toasted sarnie maker out and had a toasted cheeses sarnie for lunchShould really be chicken in a basket for dinner but it's not, it's a YS [20p] year old L's pizza, defrosting right now

I'm spitting feathers today, so I've probably munched a bit more than I would've if I'd not be so furiously angry.
Today I've had: A 5-pack of CoOp sausage rolls, some jelly babies, some wine gums, Doritos in a flatbread, a Shanghai Curry noodle pot.4 -

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?5 -
I hope you are feeling calmer now PN
Just back in after going to see a NT live screening of Cyrano de Bergerac with James McAvoy it's very modern take on it and started with rapping 😳 but after 15 minutes you got use to the rhythm of the language, although the language was very sweary at times 🙉. The torrential rain and wind luckily stopped in time for a dry walk from the car.
last of the chicken soup for lunch, a early dinner as I had to leave just after 6.30pm and I got caught on the phone by one of my sisters so just a breaded cod fillet with vegetables and a slice of toast and marmalade when I got home tonight

I've had a vegan cheese and pickle roll, a banana and two cups of tea.
I'm not sure what to have when I get home. I have to go and drop off a donation to the chazzer and go to my appointment.
I think I will leave early so I can walk there and listen to a podcast. I have Dr Chatterjee ones (he is a GP from a BBC documentary) on my phone and they are all about an hour long.4 -
Seems yesterday was Pizza day on CFOAlso seems L's has new routine on Friday early doors weekend specials, don't reduce price at scanning & see if punter notices
I bought kitchen rolls on 99p offer, went through at £1.49
Being MSE of course I noticed, and the 12 year old [not really, she just looks like it] sorted it. That makes two weeks on the trot, probably due to Brexit or Climate Emergency

Coffee break at volunteering came supplied with a chunk of jam sponge slab cakeLunch, YS L's tuna & sweet corn sarnie [70p]Dinner, LO beef stew & dumplings, ideal now weather has turned dull & windyPN, hope you've calmed down a bit now & whatever it was is satisfactory if not "fixed"Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens2 -
I can't calm down, it was my annoying intrusive LL that pee'd me off yesterday. While she's still breathing and I don't have a house of my own I'll perpetually be furious
I had to go out this morning, so popped into the out of date food place to grab myself another box of 12 Shanghai Curry noodle pots. They're dead nice they areI toyed with the idea of getting two boxes as one day I'll go in and they'll have sold out. On the other hand, I figure maybe next time there'll be more/others of a different flavour. 12 pots (RRP £1.19) for £4, so 33p/pot but they're nicer than the pot noodles and cheap supermarket variants.
Not eaten today yet.4 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Hope you are feeling less angry today PN.
Weather here is atrocious but my sis and I had errands to run so we ventured into town. I could hardly keep my feet at points it was so windy and the horizontal sleet didn't help. Paid a visit to the butchers for ham ends and bacon ribs, the fishmongers for some haddock and smoked haddock for the freezer as well as some lovely whole sea bream for dinner and popped into the new eco shop for some pulses. They have a lovely choice of dry goods and the prices are much cheaper than the SM. After that my sis treated me brunch in a newish coffee shop where I had a really good tuna melt with coleslaw and salad. I've hardly been over the doorstep for weeks so while the weather was terrible it was good to get out for a bit.
