    Good evening everyone,
Like CG I'm trying not to smile at the kittie's antics Brambling, hopefully it will soon lose interest if it keeps getting thwarted!
We had a few light flurries of snow this afternoon but it's calm and clear now (and very cold!). Before it got dark you could see a solid block of dark clouds gathering in the distance so no doubt the next wave of rubbish is weather gathering. The wind over the past couple of days has trashed a good part of the fence between myself & my neighbours. Looking at it, it's a replace rather than repair as the posts have buckled :( . I'll probably say I'll organise it as I need my bottom fence replaced and a new back  gate. My "fence" fund is going to need a bit more in it than I'd hoped for this year but it can't be helped.
My fish soup is simmering and smells gorgeous, the rest won't take long to cook so I'll wait until it's ready before I cook it. My kids have both been posting pictures of what they have cooked today on WhatsApp, they've followed in their Mum's footsteps of trying to prep for the working week. I used to enjoy a few quiet hours in the kitchen listening to the radio batch cooking for dinners and lunches. :)
I've a lovely looking FR pork shoulder steak defrosting for tomorrow. I decided to use this rather than a chop as it's been in the freezer longer.

You two may laugh but I 'm sure as I walk out the front door tomorrow morning he will be in through the cat flap finishing off his lordships breakfast 🙄🙀. He runs rings around himself, although to be honest I don't think that's too difficult 🐾🐾. 😁

The weather's worse here today than when those big storms Ciara and Dennis moved through!  Bin's already blown over and stuff's rattling.

I had half an idea of making today an all you can eat breakfast day, but it's not pleasant/relaxing to go out in this weather on the roads.... it's more of a battle of the journey than a pleasant drive out.  If the weather's dry/calm, after breakfast one can spend some time pottering about an area, or doing a drive by, or something.... but when the weather's appalling it's more a case of surviving there and back while battling traffic, changing winds and the potential of flying debris and bins.  So I'll save breakfast for another day when I can enjoy the experience.

I HATE the wind. Always have.  You can't dress for it.
The ventusky weather site says it's gusting at 60mph here.

I'm going to check YouTube about using the air fryer for things like chops / bacon, normally I use my gas grill without problems but an alternative would be useful just in case

I don't buy/cook/eat bacon, but 'everybody' on the many groups I've been watching say they'll never do bacon in any other way again.  They cook brilliantly, quickly, with less fat and no mess/spitting to clear up.  Tip: Pop a bit of bread in to soak up drippings and it makes clean up easier.

If I were a bacon eater it'd certainly be on my list as the way to cook it.

We have a mahoosive white cat that lives directly behind us.He sits on the fence to torment Bon, n She goes nuts. She shot in like a bullet the other day, as it was calmly sitting in among my plants, n staring her out. Just goes to show how soft She really is :)
Tea tonight will be cheese n onion pie, mushy peas n gravy   ;)
