Brambling, I'll lob some turkey broth in your direction I have loads! How was "His Lordship" faring with his visitor?
I must have been a tad heavy handed with the broth mix when I made it as by the time I thinned it to a reasonable consistency (it's still more like stew than soup lol) the pan was full to the brim. Sis and I have both had a large bowl of it , she's taken a decent sized tub away with her and there is still most of the pan left. I reckon some freezer tetris will be needed tomorrow!
My neighbour has managed to get the fence back up with the help of some long nails hammered into the back of my log store, very much a temporary repair but hopefully will hold until the Spring when we've agreed to get it replaced. It's been up for 18+ years so has held well considering some of the weather it's had to deal with.

Yes please Caronc 🙂 I'm thinking of buying a turkey drum stick to make stock in the SC I love it but don't get the bones at Christmas. There used to be a stall in the farmers market which sold all things turkey (sausages, burgers, marinated steaks) and they would occasionally sale carcasses for £1 but they stop coming a couple of years ago.
His lordship is not a happy cat but no blood or fur which is good, cleaned dishes so the visitor was in and my boy was hungry when I got in, not helped by me being late home 😕 if he doesn't chase him out I'll have to investigate cat flaps which uses their microchips, I think the CP sells them so I can find out how effective they are and if they delay in opening. But they aren't cheap 🙄.
My sister lost her back fence fence and most of one side but that is next doors fence and has been in need of a quick repair for a few months which he put off and is now paying the price (he's a builder!) it's only a few years old but put up quick. I told my sister she can borrow my ladder so my nephews can have one each 😁 my balance isn't great so I'm a no no, she panics when I use it to clear my down pipe and says she doesn't need to take me to A&E again 😮Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin5 -

Thanks for the comments about my cat. I think I will take her back Friday if she is not better. We managed to shove the painkiller in her mouth last night! I think I will buy some cream cheese today to make it nicer for her to take the rest of the tablets. I will give it a few days to hopefully let them kick in.
I got up early as I have Amazon deliveries today (big surprise!) and I have the dentist later.
I am having porridge with oat milk and a banana for breakfast. I will have a couple of cups of strong tea too.
We will have the rest of the Richmond vegan sausages in sandwiches for lunch. I really love them.
I need to use up the rest of the jar of olives so I will make tomato and pepper pasta with broccoli for my dinner and my lunch tomorrow.

Brambling said:from their meat counter. I'm hoping the Dorset lamb is as good as it as last year when I stocked up whenever I saw it reduced as it's not cheap but worth it 🤤 I've popped it in the freezer for now it will do for a weekend roast 🙂.I've not had a Dorset one, but if anything like the South Downs ones I buy you'll love it. & keeping it local,. I've just taken tonight's dinner out to defrost, it's a massive New Forest FR pork chop, nearly fills the dinner plateSun's out, and so is the blossom on my apricot. I did spot a bumble bee on Saturday so fingers crossed or it's paintbrush pollinating time againBreakfast, usual porridgeLunch ????? sarnie. maybe fried egg?Dinner, the huge grilled FR pork chop, as said, it fills the plate so I'll not need much extra with it. I'm tempted to try & "roast" spuds in the AF, the You Tube vids show method but I've a feeling the end result looks more like large round skin on chips than proper roasties. Worth a try anywayBit of annual subscription sorting later, on line so not a problem, only need the minor effort of doing it instead of having tea & biscuitsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens2

Episode not available at the moment, https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01m81bjGregg Wallace sets out to solve a long-standing family mystery: what happened to his great-grandfather, Henry Roland Springett, who abandoned his wife and children, including Gregg's grandfather, and was thought to have deserted the navy? Gregg turns detective and follows the clues that enable him to piece together Henry's life. Gregg uncovers a tale of infidelity, heartbreaking tragedy and cruel fate.
Gregg is also given an intriguingly formal portrait of his great-great-grandmother. On the trail of her story, Gregg is shocked to discover the origin of the portrait and to find out where she ended her days. The tales of catastrophe and misfortune that he uncovers leave Gregg reeling emotionally.
