Welcome to CFO JenL 👋 - fingers crossed your marinade worked out well this time.
Thank you. The marinade was great this time round. Now I can go onto the 3rd and final stage of the recipe development process and give a copy to a couple of my long suffering family and friends to see if a) the recipe is easy to follow and b) if they like it.

Do you think he might be eating at yours to establish dominance and leaving food uneaten at home? My sis had this issue with a previous neighbour's cat who was being well looked after at home but nipping into hers to scoff her timid puss's grub even though they were both being fed the same SM option.
My neighbour told me about a month ago that she through he was eating too much because he had a 'tummy' so I did wonder if they had cut back on his food but I need not to accuse them because as you said it's possible he's trying to show he's boss.  He doesn't look overweight to me but then I have a solid (but not overweight)  adult male
If he's not looking underweight and not managing to get huge amounts at yours he is probably being fed enough at home and  scrounging through greed/dominance rather than hunger (hopefully). Tricky one to address unless you know your neighbours well.
Glad it was third time lucky JenL :)
Yep it's poncy PN but I like the Greg/John combo and think they are good with the contestants. Saw them live at a "Good Food Show" a few years ago and really liked how they came over (and I wouldn't throw JT out on a cold night lol, lol ;) ). I'm not generally a fan of "reality" TV shows but have a soft spot for this having watched it from the very beginning back in Lloyd Grossman days.

    Good morning,
Lumpy rain continues as does the cold but there have been brief (very) spells of sunshine. Still lots of purplish dark clouds around so more bad weather to come I think.
I've had a reasonably productive morning so far tackling some chores, laundry and changing my bed. Time for a much needed sit down and ☕️ before starting round two!
Lunch is a tbc fridge rake and dinner tonight will be HM turkey broth with crusty bread.
  • I had to take my little cat to the vet last night. She jumped up and missed the table (twice) and she was limping dramatically.

She is on painkillers for a week before they do any x-rays although I think I will take her back if she is not okay in a couple of days. She keeps jumping up and doesn't seem to be in much pain. They think it is her hip. She is 10 years old now although she still looks like a kitten, for some reason!

  • I just had HM red lentil, potato and carrot soup with toast and a cup of tea for brunch.

I had grilled mushrooms and tomatoes with the Richmond vegan sausages and brown sauce yesterday and I might do the same later today.

More rain & no YS in L's mooch. Plus my expected parcel arrived this morning while I was out, so needs a trip to sorting office on Thursday when I'm in town. Brambling, I never spotted the 1/3 off gammon, typical, last week was the one week I never went in W8rose :/ I'll have a look on Thursday, fingers crossed for a YS one
PN, hope you get a proper hot meal meal soon, doesn't sound a pleasant situation
Lunch, still on the cheese toasties :D
Dinner, was nearly pork chop, but decided to go with the last salmon fillet fried in EVO + butter [defrosting now], nuked LO mash & some salady bits
I'll get a FR pork chop out later to defrost for tomorrow
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens
