We all found it hilarious (I don’t think I’ve seen it before?!) Mark55man, my eldest son spent half of it with a cushion over his face due to secondhand embarrassment 🤣🤣🤣
Gammon for dinner here, with roast potatoes, yorkies, broccoli, carrots, peas and gravy. Profiteroles for pudding along with a game of Catan.

I have beef in red wine simmering gently in the slow cooker, with banoffee pie for dessert.

We had steak, (a tuna steak for me, beef for the others) with baked mushrooms and tomatoes, peas, purple sprouting broccoli and potato dauphinose.
I made the fruit bowl apples into a crumble.
I make a load of crumble mix and keep it in the freezer, so it's easy to put together.
  • Had a nice Valentine meal with hubby today...with posh tablecloth, music and candles too!

I had Prawn cocktail for starter(hubby had mushroom vol-au-vant); steak, scallop wrapped in bacon, veg and celeriac fries with peppercorn sauce. He had normal chips, veg and vegan cottage pie (a nasty bought one which he wasn't fond of).

For pudding I made a low carb chocolate trifle and he had one of those vegan 'Bosh' chocolate cakes that was reduced from the local shop.

We had takeaway roast from the local pub again this week. We still have the raspberry and white choc cheesecakes for pud later.

  • Saturday night we had more Chinese food, mainly dim sum.
Sunday lemon sole, rice and veg
Tonight pasta-OH bolognaise has mince meat and mine has veggie meatballs. I'm not vegetarian but happy to try a like for like meal if that makes sense. Will let him taste mine and if he likes it then I can do veggie for us both next time. For example, he quite enjoyed veggie mince last time commented he couldn't tell the difference. Cream cakes for after.

What veggie mince did you use before? I usually use dried soya, or quorn. Bought some Meatless Farm mince and really wasn't overly keen, it seemed to just suck up the liquid and end up more of a mush than anything else.
