Primrose said:Am interested in hints for using orange lentils in burgers thst don't make them go too mushy. Perhaps green lentils might have a better texture for this type of mixture ?
Tonight I am using up some odds and ends, including half a pack of ready-rolled puff pastry and one lonely salmon fillet. I have skinned and chopped the salmon and mixed it with some cold cooked rice, sauteed diced garlic, mushroom and onion plus a few sliced spinach leaves and made two decent sized puff pastry parcels with it. Will serve with some French beans from the garden (via the freezer) and a few boiled new potatoes.
For puds over the next few days I've made a banoffee pie (the cheat's version, using a tin of Carnation caramel condensed milk, which is ready to go straight from the tin!)5 -
last night I had salt and pepper chicken wings with HM coleslaw and tonight I made beef brisket with shallots and garlic served with swede puree, grilled fennel, brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Also had a chocolate brownie for pudding.2
