We went for a lovely walk&picnic with OH yesterday, being out all day.
My OH made my picnic sandwiches, ham&egg with mayo mustard and few gherkins on the side..very nice it was!
In the evening I had made pork fillet in creamy mushroom sauce, with roasted salad potatoes with salt, pepper and hint of rosemary. Brocolli on the side. We felt like we desrved nice big dinner after the walk he made me do!
Tonight I am making chicken&chorizzo jambalaya.
Not sure about lunch yet4 -
When I go home at lunchtime I might stick the gammon in the slow cooker, it’s a miserable clammy day here today. If I do that it will be served with jersey royals and broccoli cheese.
I am also having cooker problems, anything over gas mark 5 and it cuts out after ten minutes. Must be a thermostat problem, cooker came with house so don’t know how old or anything. Its been well looked after though. I’d like to ditch it for a electric but its built in so will be a hassle.

I am going to make french toast for lunch...
My plan for dinner is to cook a Thai ready mean (for one) and to stretch it out with a pouch of microwave rice. Will have this with peri peri flavour chicken fillets. There are a few options for side / veg... cherry tomatos, mushrooms, onion rings... will see how it goes later.4 -
A bit cooler today, we had steak left over, so will slice that and make Mongolian beef tonight with stir fry noodlesNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Last night was more jersey royals, some sliced fried mushrooms and a bit of salad with the other two Zanzibar kebabs - I cooked them a bit longer this time and had them with mango chutney, they were actually delicious and swayed me towards 'would buy again'Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Last night had a paella style meal ( just chorizo and veg, no chicken or fish). Was delish.
Tonight I’m thinking maybe a pasta bake/ mac and cheese / broccoli cheese stylee meal which I can make ahead of time as we always do gin bar with our daughter over FaceTime and it always makes us a bit late eating. This can just get plonked in the oven when we need it.6 -
I have chucked my slow cooker out, somehow, I’m guessing in the house move the knob has come off the front and it wouldn’t switch on, good job you can pick them up cheaply!
However I did the gammon in the oven, albeit slowly whilst the dog and I were walked and a spot of sun bathing, served it up after our clapping with jersey royals and broccoli and cheese – think I prefer it done in the oven! Chocolate cake for pud!
Shopping day tomorrow, I will be looking on here for inspiration
