What are you making for dinner?

Last night we had fish fingers&chips. Such a simple no cooking dish but really hit the spot yesterday. I had petit pois peas, hubby mushy peas from can.
OH volunteered to go to shop on Tue (he hates shopping!) And brought home beef mince that had use by date yesterday! And not enough space in the freezer thanks to the fish delivery earlier in the week.
So last night I cooked cottage pie (no potato on it yet) for tea tonight and also goulash&potato soup for the weekend lunches.
Today for lunch we'll have sort of prawns cocktail on a salad, made with a crayfish in brine that arrived as a bonus in my fish delivery.
It is 900gr jar,so planning to freeze the rest.
Thinking to freeze 1 x 180gr for a pasta dish and the rest in portions for lunches-80gr each portion for salad?
And should I freeze it with brine or without? I always either buy deep frozen prawns or cooked pack at Aldi to go on my salad, never froze cooked crayfish tails before..5 -
Any, I’d just freeze portions of crayfish without the brine but make sure all the air was out of the bags before sealing them.
I’m making lamb biriyani for tonight and tomorrow night.6 -
Had a very successful shopping trip last night. No queue to get in and fantastic choice in most things. Did a massive shop with the idea being I shouldn't need to go back out to shop in the next three weeks, except for fresh veg, as mentioned above, we own guinea pigs, so has to be fresh for them more than us really. Had dinner when we got back and it was similar to the meal I had two or three nights ago, except we had a chop this time with the gravy, veg and rice.
So today, I am going to cook a couple of soups. Maybe a lentil and bacon AND a pea and ham. I use bacon instead of ham, and just tin of mushy peas. I add potatoes to both soups to make them really 'hearty' .One of those soups will be lunch and I will freeze the rest. Tonight will quite possibly be a takeaway as OH is wanting one.

A lady at work was going to a local farm today to get some eggs. She asked if I wanted some and I asked for 2 lots. Thinking I would have 12, unfortunately she thought I meant 2 trays and I ended up with 60!!
So we had scrambled egg, hashbrowns, beans and bacon for dinner.
I also made a couple of quiches and a couple of loaf cakes to freeze. 42 eggs left. They are lovely eggs, and very colourful, blue, brown and white shells.7 -
