I havent spent much time cooking this week.
Tonight husband had keema, vege curry, rice and samosa all from freezer. I made a macaroni cheese and added kale and broccoli for me and daughter.

I had two ice lollies for afters.
  • Forgot I had 2 sausages out of freezer so sausage sarnies for lunch. Dd gave me a couple of courgettes yesterday so decided to pick some of my lettuce leaves and tomatoes, little potatoes I had dug up and will get some fish out of freezer for dinner tonight. May change the fish for portion of crustless quiche out instead but thats in the more difficult to get at freezer !!
  • Have copied the chicken meatball recipe, have never made my own and that looks so simple - minus olives, none in, - plenty of chicken to use too. Thanks.

Thanks whmf :) It is really quick and easy, and very tasty. I found it helped to refrigerate it for a while before cooking it as it was a slightly wet mix, and I used two dessert spoons to shape them into quenelles/balls rather than rolling them by hand. I cooked them for about 10 mins in a frying pan with only a little oil. I had one (very) large chicken breast, and with all the other ingredients I was surprised that it made enough for four good sized portions so it's quite economical too. Enjoy!

Tonight I am making chilli prawn linguine.

Pasta tonight (incl finishing off a bag of Halloween shapes from Lidl) with some LO pasta sauce and Creme fraiche stirred through, mixed with courgette and petit pois, and a jar of salmon paste (think Jack Monroe did something with fish paste and pasta?). Sprinkling of grated Parmesan on top (not very Jack Monroe). Mini portion LO for lunch sometime.

Those Halloween shapes didnt include ones with horrible garlic flavour and chilli flavours did they? I'm partial to a jelly bean and bought some from Aldi. They were for Halloween and were vile, well not all were but some were. Absolutely awful.

We had takeaway fish, large chips and curry sauce between 3 of us and there were lots of chips leftover.

Thankfully not, though I think the black ones may have had some kind of squid ink in them or something, but they weren't particularly nice....hence I was still using the bag in Aug :rotfl:
