I've just had a 'use it up' session to save things in the fridge that were almost use by date so have made a big bread and butter pudding to also use some bread on it's last legs and made a fruit in syrup topping for it to do the same with berries just over the top and soft. I've also made a big quiche to use up some milk, eggs and tail end of a packet of ham and some drying cheddar so we'll have that with potato salad from some leftover boiled potatoes and a picking of tomatoes and a cucumber from the greenhouse.0

Bought some 3 for £3 strawbs and a YS brocalli in Morries on Saturday, and then went to Lidl and saw one of their cheapo boxes so had that which had a punnet of strawbs and a brocili in as well. I used the Lidl strawbs in porrige the last couple of days so others in fridge to use the same or may make smoothie, and then today whizzed all the broc into broc rice, portioned and some for freezer and some for tonight with some chops or something (I know there are lots of that sort of thing in freezer but not looked yet), My get some of the hm (neighbour) curry and rice out for tomorrow so may mix some of the broc rice in with that. Lots to choose from.0

Thai green curry for us tonight. I've stretched the chicken and green bean components of it a bit by adding some chopped cooked potatoes and a few handfuls of chopped spinach. To be served with jasmine rice, then some more of the key lime pie for pud.0

YS GF breaded cod from M&S with LO baked beans and some mini roasts. Couldn't work out why they kept sticking to the pan but its because they are quite starchy spuds and I forgot to par boil them first...lesson learned.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Tis been a manic few days with the move looming on Friday and no bathroom as yet in the house (well its sat in the living room) on Sunday I roasted a chicken and drained all the juices off and left to one side. Shred some of the leg meat and mixed it with the left over fried rice from the previous nights Chinese and served up with chicken gravy and prawn crackers – was actually delicious! Shredded Chicken salads for lunch yesterday and last night was chicken chips gravy and peas. Believe it or not because it was shredded there is still some left over for teas tonight! alright for a fiver cook in the bag!0

Last night I really could not be bothered to cook. Had planned shepherd's pie. So freezer diving, husband had a thai seafood meal bought rtc from Iceland with a pack of microwave rice. Shame we hadn't got more was his verdict. Daughter had vegetable lasagne home made some time ago, with some salad. I had some garlic prawns, asparagus, spaghetti and a poached egg on top.
Tonight we had jacket potatoes with tuna, boiled eggs and salad. Jacket potatoes were bought from Aldi I think they were 14p each, bought loose and were really nice.0
