Are you related to my OH? :D

Tonight is meatless farm burgers in buns...GF for OH. I'll alao make some oven chips to use up some spuds. Salad for me, beans for OH prob ....and some fizz and football this evening.

Could be, but it was my OH doing the cooking, but he still had to ask how long and what temperature they needed.

Tonight we had fake nando's. Husband had half chicken with piri piri sauce, sweet potato fry, corn on the cob, coleslaw. I had big baked mushrooms with halloumi in pitta bread.

Roast chicken dinner for us tonight.

For pud, I’ve made a sponge base and topped it with (home grown) stewed rhubarb with added sliced strawberries and the seeds scraped from a vanilla pod, with a pack of strawberry jelly dissolved in the juices while hot. I added this as it was cooling down so it hasn’t soaked into the sponge too much and is more of a fruity topping/glaze. This was kind of a made up dessert but it looks good and should satisfy Mister CJ’s sweet tooth for the week :)

roasted a chicken last night but had wraps with guacamole, salsa, veg, cheese and chicken - yummy. tonight roast with red cabbage, broccoli and cauli and lashings of chicken gravy. out for tea Thursday night and Friday away for the day so Wednesday will be a mish mash of the leftover veg and meat from the freezer.
  • Had big oven on for a half hour yesterday so I nuked 3 big potatoes and then put in oven to finish off. Will have one for lunch today, maybe stuffed with cheese or tinned fish (good for me) and the other 2 in fridge for next few days. Also boiled 6 eggs this a.m. which are now in cold water, will peel and put in fridge for snacking etc. over next few days. Cooking for 1.

We had roast beef yesterday. Tonight I'm having leftover pasta from Saturday and DH is having steak and mushroom baguettes.
Spend less now, work less later.

Meat-free Monday for us tonight, so I have made some mushroom stroganoff which we'll have with some tagliatelle because I haven't any rice or noodles.

The weird rhubarb/strawberry/jelly/sponge thing I made (which is actually very nice) with cream for pud.

Quorn tikka masala courtesy of Pataks with rice and naan bread (GF for OH) chucked in a couple of chopped up peppers that were looking a bit wrinkly and have another couple earmarked for a chilli.

Just to make people aware for those who are not aware the existence of Too Good To go APPS

You could get food of £8 £11 for £3 or less.
It could save you money and time cooking. But you are also doing your bit for environment to avoid food waste.

At the moment the review is mixed but you might find a good restaurants store near where you live to be used regularly.
