We had a takeaway last night, was lovely:)

I have plonked a chicken in the slow cooker for dinner tonight, simple chicken with mash (cauliflower mash for me) and Savoy cabbage.

LO Chicken will make a curry this week and the bones back in the SC for soup stock

I am coming to move in with you .... sounds delicious.

We are off gallivanting again tonight (two nights in a week, unheard of ) so I will prob just plonk a pizza in the oven or some pasta on the stove for us before we go.

Fridge is starting to look a little empty so I'll need to start making use of the freezer more. Would like to run things down a bit more before Xmas, and perhaps clear some space with a little batch cooking if I have time, but I will need to do some kind of top up shop at least..we only have 2 toilet rolls left :eek:

Scampi, chips and minted smashed petit pois for us tonight. Very nice it was too.

Just slung the tree up and a few decorations round the house to partake in festivities.

Fajitas here then spiced apple cake.
  • Have had a bit of a meat heavy few days so this evenings meal was “Tofu Hotpot” supposedly a vegetarian dish but I used some homemade chicken stock. Recipe came from “How to boil an egg” by Rose Carrarini of Rose Bakery Paris.

Basically, vegetables lightly cooked in stock and Shoyu (Japanese soy sauce) with some firm cubed tofu added at the end to warm through. The thing that took it off the scale was a poached egg on top finished with a liberal dose of Sriracha. Will be doing this again for sure.
