Yesterday was a bag of crisps to soak up the beer watching the football. Oops.

Today I cooked the BBQ beef kebabs that needed using (hope they were ok), with some cabbage and aldi halloumi fries...omg, I'm so disappointed in them after all the hype. So salty (even for halloumi) and greasy. Wish I hadn't bought two boxes, one may well go on freecycle. What a let down.

  • I made a tomato, red lentil and aubergine pasta sauce in the slow cooker today and I had it on courgetti, the offspring had hers on spaghetti, with garlic bread and cheese. I am more than a little jealous of her ability to eat all the carbs and never gain an ounce of weight!

I agree with you on the halloumi fries, the first couple of boxes I bought were really nice, they came with a foil dish, then they seemed to go out of stock, when they returned no foil dish and no appeal.

Tonight we had salmon, potato dauphinose, sprouting broccoli and green beans.
