might give it a shot or better still try someone elses when i am out! :rotfl:0 -

I also love halloumi, when I have been out to dinner with work colleagues and it's on the menu I always order it and work colleagues tuck in, lots have never tasted it before and very rarely does it get the thumbs down. It tastes so different depending on how it's cooked. Island maids recipe sounds great, harvestor do a beer battered halloumi, I love that and it tastes different.
The Aldi frozen version is not bad at all, there's a big portion for £1.99 although I only ever been able to buy two boxes in one early visit as it's always out of stock.
I have also used it in curry, it seems to lose the saltyness. It's also good made into a kebab with veg and put on the BBQ.
Tonight for dinner we had for lightly dusted, served with mash and spring onions (champ?) And peas.0 -

I love the Harvester beer battered halloumi too, it makes for a very rich meal but lovely.
I normally either dry fry halloumi or fry with a tiny bit of fat, and I find it always goes down a storm. I normally do that if we're having a bbq or buffet-style meal, but love the sound of it with mash and spring onions!0 -
Just me eating today - I've got a tuna steak which has been in the freezer for a long, long time so I might marinade it to try and stop it being too dry. Don't think I've got a lemon or lime but maybe with olive oil and soy sauce and herbs - I'll have to have a think! I could go adventurous and give it a squeeze of orange, or balsamic vinegar, but having been awake half the night, I can't think about what might be tasty yet!0

I'm not a halloumi fan - far too salty for me.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Tonight we'll be having the last two tubs of hm curry from the freezer - one chicken and one veg, served with pilau rice and hm garlic and coriander naans.0
