Husband grabbed the last two organic aubergines in our local branch of Sainsbury's tonight and a pack of organic beef mince, plus a Loyd Grossman pasta sauce on offer for 1.50. No nasties, no starches and it's in the oven with a topping of Co-op grated Mozzarella that was on offer via a Deliveroo order last night.2

Salmon stir fry today. My daughter started back at school, back into the routine which I’m so glad of. I’ve just woke up from a rare but needed snooze on the sofa my son is still fast asleep in his Moses basket:money::rotfl::T2

So last night's outing was to Nandos. Never been before but I thought it would be nice as I like chicken. The best I can say about it is "it was ok". Nearly £40 for the 2 of use and you have to go to the till to order, go and pick up your cutlery, OH had the refillable coke so had to keep going to get that. I did like the concept that you would pick your main and then you could add 2 sides for an additional price of £5. I went for the 4 boneless chicken thighs as they were supposed to have really crispy skin. Well they didn't. And they were either either thighs from a poussin or were actually 2 thighs each cut in half. Had it with chips and I can't recall getting a smaller portion anywhere. The rainbow slaw salad was also small but quite enjoyable other than the fact that I don't know what was actually in it - cabbage and radishes but some other green leaves of some sort, kale maybe? But a variety of seeds on top and a nice vinaigrette. I made the mistake of getting the mild coating on the chicken and you couldn't tell anything was there. They did have some nice sauces to add but not nice enough to lure me back any time this decade.
Tonight I think we'll be going to an Indian place we've been too previously - 3 times in 6 years. Tuesday is what they call their buffet night where for £17.95 you can get a starter, 2 sides and a main. It's always busy and very friendly and just around the corner from us. Worst thing about it is that, like so many Indian places the menu is massive so it's hard to decide.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I've agreed to go out to get fips and chish that we can eat out of the paper given we have no way to wash up plates. Wondering though how I can get through it if I don't know where the vinegar is. I guess I can get them to put some on my fish at the chippy.....as long as none of my chips touch OH's.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
