I had a jacket potato and cheese, husband had chips, egg, gammon and peas. Daughter had a chicken burger with her jacket potato made into wedges.

Feeling rough tonight so not too hungry. Didnt even want any chocolate afterwards.

Using the last of the chicken (still have stock) made a ‘Christmas pie’ leftover chicken, stuffing, pigs in blankets with leeks and carrots in a white sauce, have some miniature potatoes to use, so will roast them and serve with buttered cabbage.

It’s probably the best tasting chicken I have had in years and will definitely buy again, it was £8 for a medium size bird, but has done 8 generous meals with leftovers used for lunches, and it’s supporting local farmers too 👍 Will continue to try and have less, but better quality meat

OH's lentils with sausages and belly pork was lovely as always.  Loads left and 2 weisswurst pulled out of freezer to top it up for tonight.  Also had the "juice" leftover from a tin of tomatoes from breakfast the other day so I'll be suggesting that gets popped in too.

New kitchen delivered this morning (early!!! yawn!!!).  Managed to shift some of the big ovenware things (Creuset mostly) out of a cupboard as they won't be used until the new oven is installed.  Pleasingly that is nearly 2 cupboards in the kitchen emptied and only another dozen+ to go....(plus fridge)  Roll on next Monday!!

If you want something a bit different you might use maple syrup instead of honey.  I also add some garlic and let it marinade a bit.

Still using up Christmas stuff. Tonight I made a stirfry with peppers, broccoli, leeks, prawns, udon noodles and other veg that I cant remember. I also put some mini spring rolls in the oven while it was on.

I made a tray of roasted vegetables to use up tomatoes, courgettes and peppers and that's going in a pasta bake for tomorrow night, topped with grated Christmas cheese.

I also made a soup from broccoli, leeks, celery, cauliflower and stilton. That's tomorrows lunch.

Tempted to make blueberries and oat muffins for breakfast and tomorrow is sorted,  but I dont think I'm in the mood 🙂

Found a chicken tikka pastie in the freezer - nearly 500 calories - so half each. I still have lots of eggs to use and an opened pack of garlic pizza breads in the fridge that needs to be eaten.
