We had the vegetable pasta bake, I found a tub of feta cubes in brine that needed using so that went in as well. Topped with grated left over cheese.
I made some garlic bread with some bake at home rolls.

Feeling quite virtuous as it was a tasty meal made out of rummage.

Salmon with honey and soy sauce (I make my own). Then probably rice and veg with it. The salmon we got in Morrisons on offer, again using freezer stash
If you want something a bit different you might use maple syrup instead of honey.  I also add some garlic and let it marinade a bit.
Thank you I’ll try that next time xx

Tonight roast beef, roast spuds, carrots, peas and gravy plus horseradish. The beef I got half price on the CC Tesco offer before Christmas

OH did the most lush prawn risotto last night.  he'd bought a nice muscadet for Christmas and some was used in the cooking and the rest was quaffed.

    Chinese tonight 👍

got a Tesco shopping delivery coming Tomorrow, was chuffed with it being £51, trying to spend as little as possible this month as it’s going to be expensive with an afternoon tea for my mothers 80th to pay for and it’s my sons 30th a week later and 12 of us are out to dinner 😳

  • Hello hello!  I've just found this!

We try to be thrifty and grow a lot of our own veg.  We buy lovely free range eggs from a lady down the road (cheaper and way nicer than Tesco's!)

Lunch today was leek and potato soup (we have our own spuds in a sack in the garage and leeks in the garden)

Dinner tonight is going to be curry, Madras for him and Korma for me, we make two big pots and freeze indididual portions.  Both are made with chicken thighs chopped up and bulked out with spuds onion and carrots ... yum.

soup bread and cheese.  I've some lentils left that I will have instead of the soup which will get one thing out of the freezer.  OH will likely have the cream of tomato.  There's some good cheese (stilton and brie!) left from Christmas plus a bit of sliced ham.
