Rump steak tonight, a treat from the freezer stash, I’ll have it with a Greek salad and I’ll do a few chips for DH too. Might make a pud as I have a couple of lemons that need using and some cream, so a lemon posset sounds likelyNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

I’ve made a pan of chilli con carne, which we will have tonight with a little rice and finish up on Monday made into burritos.3

The courgettes that OH did last night with the tuna were fab! Lightly floured so went a bit tempura when fried. The tuna was just this side of cooked - which is exactly as I like it. Easy packet of pilau rice courtesy of Mr T.
Tonight is steak night. OH had banned it from our shopping list on the grounds that it was on the "no" list following his hospitalisation a couple of months back. But then so are cigars......(I will not comment further....) Anyhoo - our meat guy at the market had a nice rib eye for him and a rump for me which he says he will serve with chips. There's some lettuce in the fridge and 1 tomato left so I might add a small salad for myself. He opened a bottle of red wine a few days back so I expect he will have a glass of that. I've no white wine so will no doubt have a cocktail before dinner.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I did a tuna pasta using bits from the fridge, ceaser salad, pizza and breaded mushrooms and put it out as a serve yourself buffet.6

Been a busy day. We cycled into town and did a bit of shopping
this evening we had salmon. I was gonna do rice but my daughter asked for orange potatoes so I did her them and we had roast spuds then peas on the side. I make my own honey and sauce sauce too
I also got the lamb out for tomorrow:money::rotfl::T4 -
I’ve just put cubed steak, chopped onions, red pepper, celery, carrots and potatoes in the slow cooker with some beef stock and red wine to do it’s thing while we are out for the day. Will be served with cauliflower cheese (made yesterday), mashed potatoes and shredded cabbage. Pud will be another slice of the Black Forest gateau I made yesterday.

Husband went downstairs at 5 this morning to put the brisket in the slowcooker. Memories of one Christmas when he did the same and put slow cooker on the "keep warm" function.
Will do cauliflower cheese, green beans, cabbage, spuds, carrot and swede mash and Yorkshire puddings. Will plate up two extra dinners for the inlaws.
I was pleased at the gap in the freezer left by the beef but it's that big, some will make it's way back in.4 -
soup and sandwiches. I bought a big carton of carrot soup in France so am looking forward to that. OH has suggested tuna sandwiches so i need to get some brown bread and a cucumber (yuck) as he likes that with almost anything. Hopefully Lidl will have some nice tomatoes too. And some basil - I need some for a picture I need to start for tomorrow's art class.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Lamb roast dinner. The leg is already in and has been in now since…just past 10am. I’ll do that with roast spuds, peas, carrots and yorkies as I’ve got a bag in the freezer to use plus gravy and mint sauce. The size of it there’s enough for another 2 maybe 3 meals:money::rotfl::T4
