Many congratulations @sarahj1986! I found that eating ginger biscuits and sipping Lucozade helped ease the sickness (which I suffered badly from, all day long, both times, for the entirety of the pregnancies).
I picked up a huge bag full of free veg etc from the Community Fridge this morning so am currently deciding how to incorporate everything into this week’s menu plan.
There was a lot of cauliflower so that will make soup o’ the week (with the addition of harissa paste, onions and potatoes, also from the Fridge). I also saw a nice recipe recently for curried paneer and spinach served on top of a bed of curried cauliflower purée, so might try that one night too.
There was also a butternut squash, some red chilli, red onion, spinach and a packet of those Merchant Gourmet mixed grains, so that will be a roasted stuffed squash with a little tahini or peanut butter drizzled over it.
There were some bunches of heritage carrots, which I will make into a roasted carrot, maple syrup and hazelnut tarte tatin (though I will have to cheat and buy some ready made pastry ….. I’m happy to make shortcrust, but draw the line at puff!!)
Dinner tonight will be pan fried salmon fillets served with couscous, garlicky mushrooms and tenderstem broccoli.

Also I had eye surgery for a detached retina on the way home at 10.30 at night, we went through the drive through and fillet of fish and fries tasted fabulous. Was back doing the same thing 6 weeks later when it had to be redone.
Last Macdonalds I had was when I had covid, again just what I craved.
Tonight I had a fried egg, spinach, cheese and a muffin.
Husband had ham, eggs, chips and beans in preparation for his night out boozing 😆6 -
I got some lamb’s liver half price at Asda this afternoon. I have frozen half for another day.
I fried the rest with some onion for onion gravy and served it with a variety of steamed vegetables and some cooked beetroot heated in the microwave.
Pudding was a punnet of ripe strawberries, reduced to 21p, with a bit of cream.4
