I think I saw that Instagram post @JIL - I’ll definitely give it a go now (they did look yummy).
We are having a quick dinner of HM wild garlic pesto stirred into pasta with veg and, just in case the vampires fancied their chances, garlic bread to make sure.Books read 2023 - 49/753 -
OH has come home from N&S with "KFC" for dinner. And has declared "cook it all or I'm going out to buy cigars!!" Which is fine by me (cooking it all, not the cigars, he needs to quit them & stay quit) as I'm at home tomorrow so any leftover will be lunch.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. @Brie fake KFC here for me too, pulled two drumsticks out that I'd chucked in the freezer from an Aldi (or Lidl) pack.
I chopped up a sweet potato that was starting to fester in the fridge and ended up roasting it in the air fryer.
I had some with beans and my chicken.
OH had some in some LO pasta (🤷♀️)
And there's some left to be used in a curry. Not sure what else to add in the curry. I have onion and peppers in the fridge, or there's a tin of banana blossom in the cupboard 🤔Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

@Islandmaid i used some banana blossom before and it was really nice once marinated. OH not a massive fan of aubergine (or veg in general, which is kinda awkward for a veggie). I think there may also be a handful of quorn pieces in the freezer which could be used up. Always feels satisfying using up odds and sods....even if it means I then have to go shoppingFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

We had jacket pots with caesar salad and greek salad last night, with chicken and bacon.
Tonight its kebabs, lamb and halloumi. I will do sweet potatoes as a side and also use up the remaining greek salad.2 -
Another busy few days, I’m going to make a large pan of turkey chilli later to have with rice, salad and avocado tonight, and then hopefully with jacket potatoes tomorrow night (I must remember to serve it onto plates in the kitchen instead of putting the pan on the dining table, otherwise the menfolk will snarf the whole thing).

@kerri_gt I’m sure it’ll be lovely
odds and sods here from the freezer, you know when you end up with little bits in bags 🙄 so various shapes of frozen chips, some Ikea style meatballs, a couple of bits of fish and a few fish fingers. I’ll have my standard cheese omelette.Mega shop due this afternoon, run out of loo roll, kitchen roll, toothpaste everything 🙁Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
