    Veggie rice and tofu 🤞

    Edit
    So far rice undercooked and tofu overcooked so we'll see if this is redeemable
  • Easy dinner tonight of pasta with tomato sauce (added mushrooms, courgettes and spinach) with meatballs - veggie for me.

    I had the same as last night, pasta and roasted veg, different cheese on top tonight.
    Daughter had roasted veg in puff pastry topped with yeast flakes and pine nuts.
    Husband had steak pie (base from freezer) extra veg was green beans and tender stem broccoli.
  • we finally had our Korean dinner--chive blossoms with prawns, braised lotus roots, and miso glazed eggplant.  It was very good.

    We had a lasagne and peas. Tasty and cheap! Lovely. Tonight it’ll be a treat. Indian takeaway, cos it’s my birthday, but to be honest,I’d be happy with something like a corned beef hash! Honest.

    Happy Birthday, @mumf!

    I had planned to make a salmon, prawn and spinach curry tonight, but I seem to have a lot of veg which need using up so I’ll do something with those instead, and freeze the fish for another time. So it’ll probably be a cheesy vegetable and butter bean bake.
  • Happy birthday @mumf 🎉

    We are having chickpea, mushroom and pepper curry tonight, with rice and naan.

    Happy Birthday @mumf 🥳

    making a tart/pie thing out if a sheet of puff pastry with the rest of the caramelised onions, and goats cheese from Christmas with salad and double stuffed skins which will use up wrinkly potatoes, half a pot of Greek yogurt, old spring onions and some more Christmas cheese 👍. I’m having a prawn cocktail salad

    Happy birthday @mumf!!!

    @Islandmaid
    I have the problem of never knowing whether something should be called a tart or a pie.  So much easier elsewhere when it's just based on size rather than whether there's a top or not.

    OH made the trek to the market only to discover it wasn't open today with no prior notice.  Luckily I was across town where the market meat guy also has a stall at a garden centre so I stopped in there and they were quite happy to sell me the duck eggs, gammon steaks and bacon we needed.  Apparently the chap in charge of the Poole market had told everyone this morning to not set up as it was too windy but to not leave in case the wind died down.  And also to not announce that the market wasn't open as it might put people off.  Talk about not being able to organise an "event" in brewery.

    But as OH was in town he picked up a steak pie for himself and moussaka for me at Sainsbugs so that's dinner sorted.
