I am on my todd tonight so I treated myself to a TGTG carvery 'bag' last night rather than a takeaway I was thinking about. Plenty of food there, in fact will prob do two meals. No yorkies but I have some in the freezer.
At this rate, that's what people might be getting for their xmas dinner instead!
Actually, most of the xmas dinner is now in the freezer, I also got some RTC stuffing (still £2!) in A$da today - so that can go in the freezer too. Got some plant based stuffing balls for OH / the rest of us to try too. In fact, he prob won't be bothered but I'll eat them instead. They were also RTC.
Cannot believe fresh turkeys were also YS already - bonkers!Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

My daughter has requested one of her favourite meals - jacket spuds, cheese and beans. It’s old outside, perfect jacket spud weather
Also kinda off topic but for those who are interested. Tesco have got meat joints half price per kg. It’s worth it if you’ve got a big freezer or fancy stocking up.:money::rotfl::T3 -
This was about half the carvery (bar the Yorkshire's) plus I didn't use any of the roasties I was given with it too.
Deff enough for tomorrow and can prob stretch it out to a meal tomorrow and a bit of bubble n squeak too.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Ended up having fish and chips from the chippy last night. We only ate half of the enormous portion so same again tonight. Good to have an easy meal today as I was out on SA work at 7.30am.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

We were really busy tonight and I thought about a food delivery as a bit of a surprise. As in a knock on the door and heres dinner.
I was shocked that on the web page of justeat, there was an increase in prices of items, different to the prices when buying directly, a delivery charge, a charge for using a card and a charge for a bag. The usual fish and chips was coming out at £28.
On went the actifry and we had egg, chips and beans, all done in 16 mins.3 -
Good morning all
my husband is out all day till 8-9pm at a show. I’ve got quite a full freezer which I wanna reduce down for Christmas items. There’s some chicken burgers and wedges in there and I’ll use up the sweet corn and peas. Peas and sweet corn are freezer staples so I’ll add them to the shopping. Next weeks is gonna be a cheap one and using up what we’ve got.:money::rotfl::T4 -

I’ve defrosted some nice minced beef from the butcher and will rustle up something using that - most probably chilli con carne.
I’ve been using my new Ninja Foodi a lot this week, and am really loving it. I’ll do the chilli in it later, but it is currently full of y/s supermarket minced beef, rice, chopped ox heart, liver, carrots and potatoes to make the dog his breakfasts for the week. I’ve then got to slow cook a couple of huge knuckle bones (free from the lovely butcher) to make the rich bone broth I ladle onto the dog’s dry biscuit mix for his evening meals. He’s such a bouji pampered boy 😂😂😂. Home cooked is no more expensive than tinned dog meat though, and he likes it so much more.3 -
