JIL said:I had a disaster with the beef today. It went into the slow cooker and 6 hours later I couldn't get a fork into it.
I had about 90 mins until my parents were due. I tried so hard to use my ninja pressure cooker function but it wouldn't seal.
I ended up slicing the beef, pouring stock over it and braising it. It was better but still a bit tough.
My mother mentioned a few times that it wasnt good. However when she suggested I shouldn't give any to the dog as it might choke her, I got the point.
I'm usually a decent cook, the rest of the dinner was ok and my yorkshires were fab.
The moral of my story is I will try to use all the functions on my ninja and not just the airfry.
shopping is coming today. I got sausages and a whole chicken reduced yesterday, this is the bull if our meat consumption for dinners as the chicken will do
2 maybe even 3 dinners. So tonight we have the sausages, white and sweet potato mash, veg and gravy.:money::rotfl::T3 -

I planned to cook a pack of Bratwurst sausages that are in the fridge but we're now having fish tonight - a friend came round with a bag of whiting that he caught fishing from the harbour wall.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I got a medium whole chicken reduced in the Tesco express the other day. I’ll do that in my air fryer, strip the meat and divide it up. I think it will do 2/3 meals. Tonight we will have sweet and sour chicken, rice and spring rolls. I’ll add peppers and onions into the sauce for extra veg.The rest of the meat I’ll freeze. I’ve got a tikka sauce in the cupboard for later on this week:money::rotfl::T4
