Time Team popped by and excavated some mash from the freezer, had half of that with half a tin of meatballs in gravy which have been lurking in the kitchen for ages and some frozen veg (well, it was frozen, then I cooked it).
Deff what was needed on what feels a lovely crisp autumnal day.
Given i have half a tin of meatballs left, and half the mash there's a high chance tomorrow will see a rerun of today.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I made a tuna pasta bake, using up a big tin of tuna chunks that I bought for £2, added to red onion, courgette, mushrooms, peppers, sweetcorn, olives and loads of baby plum tomatoes. Topped with lots of bits of cheese. It made a huge dish full, so will do lunches as well.
@kerri_gt we used to joke about my mums freezer and the woolly mammoth steaks and terydactil wings she had in there. So much stuff that just never got used.
Meatballs were a goto supper when I first started going out with my now husband. We would go out to the pub on a Saturday night and come home hungry (and worse for wear)
We would have a tin of meatballs and bread. You brought back memories.5 -

Made a vegan feta and broccoli cannelloni dish with red onion and chopped tomatoes, takes me an hour to prepare and 30 mins to bake but it's very tasty. Heaps of washing-up as well so I won't make it too often but had a few ingredients to use up and I wanted to make room in the fridge for the new piece of broccoli bought today.
Home-made choc/coffee and walnut cake after.

Easy dinner tonight because I prepared it on Monday. A vege cottage pie, a tin of lentils, a bag of quorn and loads of veg, topped with cheesy mash. Broccoli, green beans and kale served on the side.3

Dinner last night went to pot - OH went out to watch the football only to find the channel in the pub wasn't showing it, so I got a panicked phone call to say could I do a quick tidy for guests as people might be coming back to ours to watch it. In the end there was only a couple of people but it meant I didn't really want to sit and eat dinner in front of them - so bowl of wotsits it was.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
