Not cooking much as my Bro3 considers himself a bit of a gourmet so I'm letting him get on with it. Today he's making bread stuffing to go in the small turkey he's cooking for Thanksgiving. To be served with baked acorn squash, garlic mash, non garlic mash (his older son doesn't like garlic- the weirdo!!), green beans, roast tray gravy to be followed by both apple and pumpkin pies served with freshly whipped cream.
The majority of leftover turkey (prob half the bird) will be sent home with his younger son who is 21 (I think) and about 6 inches taller than anyone else in the family. Bro & I will likely finish the rest tomorrow in a stir fry or similar.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. @Brie that sounds delicious - esp the apple and pumpkin pie.
Working late tonight so just reheated some of the beef casserole and dumplings from last night. Also cooked some mixed veg, which seemed mostly carrots...which would have been fine had there not already been a considerable amount of carrots in the casserole. Never mind, at least I'll be able to see in the dark - which will save on the electricFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

The chicken florentine last night was delicious. More leftover roast chicken being used up tonight in chicken/rice/black bean burritos. The beans, avocado, rice, peppers, onion, garlic. tomatoes and wraps were all free from the community fridge.3

Last night bro did a huge bone in rib eye on the BBQ. He has a habit of coating things with mustard which is nice but it doesn't permeate the meat so you're need an outer but to get the full benefit.
Huge nephew decided he didn't want any turkey so we'll nibble that, maybe stir fry for dinner and the rest will go in with the bone stock that's been bubbling for a day.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I made heaps of chicken burrito filling yesterday, so we'll finish that off tonight. The last of the roast chicken leftovers will make this chicken tagliatelle frisinal dish tomorrow night, although I'll use a tweaked version of the recipe which stretches it further by adding chunks of cooked sausagemeat as well.2
