Tonight is going to be a sweet potato, pumpkin and feta pie from Lid! - shared between the two of us as we've learned before it's quite rich and filling and one is really too much. OH will have beans with his, I'll have veg with mine. Was going to so some roast spuds but again, don't really need them esp as we'll graze watching a film I expect.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I dont know what came over me tonight, Friday night dinners are usually quick actifryed fish and chips or chip shop.
But tonight on went the big oven, husband had oven fish and chips, with baked beans, daughter and I had sweet potato wedges with pitta breads filled with mushrooms, spinach and halloumi, with corn on the cob.
Whilst oven was on I made a soda bread and a fruit cake.5 -
I had planned a Chinese takeaway treat while watching Strictly tonight, but instead bought a kit yesterday containing half a duck, hoisin sauce and 12 pancakes for making roast Peking duck (on offer at £7 from Sainsbobs). I already have plenty of cucumber and extra hoisin sauce to go with it if needed and 6 duck pancakes each will be more than enough for us. I wouldn’t normally spend £7 on a meal for two but this is a treat, and very much cheaper than a takeaway.
There will also be wine 🍷4 -
I'm making a Thai green chicken curry tonight and plan to have leftovers for Monday. I usually make a red Thai curry so hope this one tastes as good.5

I'm also making thai curry, I have some fresh prawns that need using. I did suggest that I make chicken and prawn, but Mr Traditional says fish and meat shouldn't be mixed. He is the same with salad, fruit has no place on a salad apparently.
I will be having a jacket potato that could have quite a few prawns on it!!4 -
I have been suffering with back pain so not cooked meals that required a lot of time and preparation.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
