Ha ha @Islandmaid, I must have had the same ‘off’ wine last night 😂

Tonight I’m making pan fried chicken breasts with sriracha, served with steamed tenderstem broccoli and carrots. Cheesecake for pud, if I get around to making it 😀

sandwiches are being planned for.   or cheese on toast which is essentially the same in some ways.  I was hoping that there might be some chilli left over from last night but someone's OH got greedy and finished it all.  Don't blame him - it was very nice and he had made it in the end so I wasn't really in a position to argue.  I should have, of course, because he then spent the rest of the evening complaining about being too full.

So he's aiming for soup and something with bread.  I might go for a jacket potato either with cheese or maybe with that bit of left over lamb stew that's been in the freezer for a couple of months.  And maybe put some cheese on top of that.....and sour cream.  Just to tidy up, doncha know!

I had a very full oven last night - had some lo sweet potato pie + roasted potato chunks with tinned tomatoes for dinner. I made a tray bake and some dairy free cakes for a boy at Church who can't have milk and usually misses out at cake time. I made short crust pastry in the food processor and used lo black cherry pie filling with a couple of stewed apples to make a pudding. I made 3 quiches for today's cafe Church using cooking bacon. I had lo pastry so I made a cheese & tomato pastie.

Yummy as always!!!  These show the bits I would like - little cakes, quiche and pastie!  NOM!!!

I warmed the quiches when I took them along this afternoon. No cooking for me tonight.

  • Roasted lamb neck fillet, roast potatoes,  carrots and peas. Hubby works for a supermarket and the staff get to take home things that are end of dates/no longer being sold, so we are very lucky to occasionally get meat we wouldn't normally spend on. Two packs of salmon last week :D

Lidl (I think) duck legs in orange sauce with M&S (I think) dauphonais potatoes.

Might do a small side salad to finish the lettuce which is extraordinarily wet for some reason.  Like as if I drenched it in water before putting it in a bag in the fridge.  Never had that happen before.
