I made this butter bean gratin with a vegan bechamel which was delicious and has gone on my to be repeated list.
I used some jarred butter beans that I got from an Indian supermarket and think M*rks tinned ones are nicer which is good to know as they're much cheaper too.6 -

I have dug out a couple of sausages from the freezer and will have them with mash and steamed cabbage.I got a lovely sweetheart cabbage from Sainsburys on offer the other day for 49p and I take off the grotty outside leaves and then wrap in tinfoil and it keeps beautifully in the fridge. As I use it I cut a couple of thick slices off and shred it all up and throw into the steamer, delicious as a side with bangers and mash and a bit of red onion chutney, real comfort food5

Not sure. I have just eaten some tortellini from l*dl, the version you can just keep in the cupboard. Full up. Lots of ideas to choose from later though, which is good. Options are baked spud, tuna / cheese tomato burger / wedges, mushy peas and fish fingers.3
