We had fish & chips for our meal at the SA tonight.
I cut a slice from the loaf marble cakes I baked - need to taste test. I made one cake - chocolate/vanilla, another is strawberry/vanilla and the third is strawberry/vanilla/chocolate.

We had some nice local burgers in the freezer so defrosted these overnight and we're having in the sesame seed I got reduced in the Coop the other night (2 packs at 22p each), Lidl potato cube things (I forget the name) and loads of salad.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Last night was another use-it-up night - I had leftover curry and rice, DH had leftover tortellini with mushrooms and asparagus. Kids had ‘pizza mess’, an Aldi stuffed crust pizza which so utterly and comprehensively stuck itself to the baking sheet, I had to scrape it onto their plates. Luckily I have trained them well and they ate it all up (‘it’s ok mum, it tastes just like pizza!’ 🤣🤣) alongside some veg sticks.Tonight I have rice and avocados to eat up, so have fished some mince and black beans out of the freezer to make chilli with.Books read 2023 - 49/753
